“Utd879908” Claims Sunday Mega Deep Title for Nearly $20K
This week’s $215 buy-in, $100K GTD Sunday Mega Deep attracted 355 players who rebought 158 times, which created a $102,600 prize pool. The top 45 players got a piece of it including “23NoraB” (28th - $666.90), “Juliangard” (15th - $1,282.50), “Fruity26” (9th - $1,795.50), and “Mr.Fonzi” (4th - $8,464.50).
After “888topPair” bowed out in third place for $11,286 – he’d also finish third in the Whale, which you’ll read about below – the title came down to Brazil’s “Yattag0” and the UK’s “Utd879908.” It took 11 hours and 32 minutes for things to come to a head, but eventually the latter came out on top to win the $19,853.10 top prize.
“alwayswin111” Slays the Whale
The$1,050 buy-in Whale had 34 players rebuy 14 times. Some of the big names to compete for the $50,000 prize pool – but fail to get a piece of it – were 888poker Ambassador Martin “MJacobson888” Jacobson, Niklas “tutten7” Åstedt, and “Mark_landers,” just to name a few.
Only the top five players got paid including “HateH4teHate” (5th - $4,000), Anton “anteen” Bertilsson (4th - $5,000), and “888topPair” (3rd - $7,500). After 5 hours and 33 minutes in the tournament, “alwayswin111” defeated Brazil’s “BeeTheBeagle” in heads-up play to win the title and $20,000 first-place prize.
“EZ.PZ” Makes the Sunday Challenge Look Easy Peasy
The $109 buy-in, $20K GTD Sunday Challenge surpassed its guarantee by drawing 192 players who rebought 53 times. After 7 hours and 42 minutes, the UK’s “EZ.PZ” claimed the title for $5,267.50 while Belarus’ “kozirok_bel” took second for $3,797.50.
Germany’s “JaNeiZZzKl4r” Weathers the Monsoon
The $55 buy-in Monsoon surpassed its $10K GTD by drawing 226 players who rebought 53 times, which created a $13,950 prize pool. Among the top 36 players to cash were “Hala1988” (25th - $118.57), “dayofwin” (13th - $188.32), “TomBrady17” (4th - $1,185.75), and “n0sferatv” (3rd - $1,576.35).

Brazil’s “brunobezerr4” Takes Down Sunday Deepstack Starfish
The $22 buy-in, $5,000 GTD Sunday Deepstack Starfish crushed its guarantee by attracting 300 players to the virtual felt and seeing them rebuy 80 times. That created a $7,600 prize pool that was paid out to the top 45 players including “Renato2322” (32nd - $49.40), “keyhell” (21st - $57), “Artistelis” (9th - $133), “ozzie22” (4th - $627), and “LuckJesus” (3rd - $836).
After two minutes shy of nine hours in the tournament, it was Brazil’s “brunobezerr4” besting Canada’s “lunchbox1980” in heads-up play to win the title and accompanying $1,470.60 first-place prize.
