They are actually among the shortest in the industry. ACR for instance have way longer late registration times. 888 Poker also to some extend.but the late registration times of most tournaments is a sick joke.
Everything was great as long as our freerolls were there. Without them, this site simply has no advantages. Personally, I don't play there anymore. One of the best places to play poker and small deposits with big prize funds and wonderful satellites - everything is in our hands!
You can say the flagship of the poker industry.A good poker room that offers games at all limits 24 hours a day. In fact, you can multi-table around the clock.
Except for good game selection, good software, good security and fast withdrawals. Or in other words everything, which actually matter, if you are not purely a freeroller. The only real drawback is high rake for micro and low stakes MTTs and single table SnGs. This is something, I really wish, they would roll back, but everything else about pokerstars is still pretty good.Everything was great as long as our freerolls were there. PokerStars, a regular average site, is no better than the others, and even somewhat worse than the others. Most sites have small deposits of 10-15 dollars, most sites have satellite freerolls. The advantages you described are difficult to call advantagesOne of the best places to play poker and small deposits with big prize funds and wonderful satellites - everything is in our hands!

So according to one of you the MTTs on PokerStars are to slow (long late registration), and according to the other they are to fast (having to be a turbo). The fact of the matter is, PokerStars have a wide span of MTTs with speeds and buyins to suit every taste. As for the KO format its popular among players, and this is why, more and more MTTs become KOs across sites with "mystery bountys" being the latest trend. Sites have no incentive to offer formats, that are unpopular, which should be kind of common sense to be honest...and stop their obsession with every tournament having to be a turbo ko they'd regain a lot of lost ground to their competitors.

Ok so you dont like PKOs then. But the fact is, they are vastly more popular than traditional MTTs. So you are essentially suggesting, that sites should not offer the games, that are most popular.I never said they were too fast. In fact, I like turbos. But most games offered are turbo ko's and while I enjoy them, I don't think they're healthy for the game overall.
I have a very high ROI in turbo PKOs. So why are those games not good for me? Maybe you just need to adjust your style?A fast, high variance format with multiple re-entries is just a rake generator and while it keeps players entertained, it's not good for the player base in the long run.
Overall its more like 1 to 1 between turbo and regular speed MTTs. Maybe check your filters?Maybe it's just the selection I see during the times I play, but turbo ko's are running 5 to 1 over reg speed games.
Once upon a time, 4-5 years ago, PokerStars was truly one of the best places to play poker. But now PokerStars is definitely not one of the best places. The best place right now is 888. Great, freerolls, both with cash prizes and tickets, good promotions, and all this can't even be compared to PokerStarsOne of the best places to play poker and small deposits with big prize funds and wonderful satellites - everything is in our hands!
888 has small prize pools $11 by in just 1K but pokerstars by in $11 has 100 K thats one quick exampleOnce upon a time, 4-5 years ago, PokerStars was truly one of the best places to play poker. I played at PokerStars for over 15 years and left them a month ago. I made more money at another poker room during April than I did at PokerStars in 2 years. The only thing that is acceptable at PokerStars is fast withdrawal of money, available support, daily Challenges to get 0.50$ PowerPath ticket and daily “Spin of the day” promotion. The minuses are not so many, but they are too tangible: loyalty program only for high rollers, unplayable satellites, lack of freerolls.
Absolutely agree. I've been playing at 888 for a month now and regret not leaving PokerStars earlier. But the more players believe that PokerStars is a good poker room, the less players will play at 888. I think both you and me have a vested interest in that.Once upon a time, 4-5 years ago, PokerStars was truly one of the best places to play poker. indeed, pokerstars could do more, but then other sites would not exist at all - because everyone would only play PokerstarsAbsolutely agree. Not really. Pokerstars removed the Freerolls where you could actually win cash. These used to be very useful bankroll builders.there is already someone there, because you can't always want everything

But now, freerolls are satellite freerolls only. You can win a ticket ... but it is tough to win several satellites in a row to actually get near any real monry. As a result, I've opened accounts elsewhere and am drawing down my poker stars account.
I actually think Pokerstars has really gone downhill. During lockdown, there were regularly over 100K people online on stars. These days, its more like 15k-30K. There used to be lots of opportunities to win throwables. These stopped. Many bugs have caused many people to lose some of their throwables. The challenges have really got tiresome. Don't get me wrong, I LOOOOOVE the power path challenge. I have a $109 ticket, and 3 $11 tickets there, atm. But the others suck and are rarely refreshed. Also, the challenges which used to have cash rewards now have ticket rewards. Humbug.
Also, when they have downtime, it goes on forever. And the notice never accurately tells you when it will be back. It just says try again later. No respect for their customers.
That said... the interface, when it works, is attractive. The animations, if you use them, are decent. You've got throwables & chat. Stars works with Poker Tracker 4 (which is good...not all sites do).
I do wish the freerolls would start with more than 12.5 BB. This just encourages the bingo free for all. Start with at least 30BB and half-decent players have a better chance to navigate the shove-fest.
So -- yeah...you can have a lot of fun on Poker Stars. However, their direction seems to be to remove fun and to discourage new, low value players from playing.
but only about 200 players played those cc freerolls (platinum level), but pokerstars has to take care of about 1,000,000 playersNot my favorite any more,I miss CC free rolls so I dont go there as much
