This aurora does not have anything good. Maybe they want to enter the US market and need a plattform with more security and are using this like 888 and party poker did, but is very awful and small fonts and not with a good playabiliy and with 4 color deck so ugly and not confortable for the eyes.
After that launch, I send a lot emails with suggestions and did not spent a penny at buy in games anymore. Only freerolls from now until they change the plattform or is bye bye to me from ps.

Yes, I have some suggestions:
1) make the lobby, exactly as was prrvious right now, allowing use high contrast window system (black lobby with white font , the higher contrast possible is better to visual impaireds)
2) allow full cards view agains and make a 4 color deck with more contrast between the colors of the deck and the number or letter inside, as was in the mercury that you had;
3) allow to enlarge the stack size and of the opponents too, enlarging option to all the box seat of the players, including hero and enlarge the font size at the bet slider buttons.
4) mantaining and allowing all tables to use black felt and black carpets to ensure high contrasts at all modes

Well, obviously, we all have some kind of issue with this stupid Aurora Graphics that was supposed to make things better. At least we had the possibility to disable it in the settings. Now they took even that from us ! This really sucks. They should cooperate with their players. I voted and I hope you get enough of us to make them hear us.

This is my major beef as well. Not only is it impossible for me to play 3 tables without lag, I cannot play one table and watch a streaming video without it being a stuttering mess.

hello,in my case I can still play at pokerstars,but everything slowed down and it was helpless not to be able to have the quality we always had,the big question is... why do you modify something that worked well to make it horrible?

This has always been like this afaik.
I disable or set to low. I try to make it look somewhat similar to how it looked before aurora ruined it.

It does not seem to make any sense.
Google search Aurora graphics and you'll see there are many people complaining about it (across many forums & training sites)... & yet there seems to be zero attempts made by Pokerstars to address the situation.
A new 'software update' today. I could not see anything different with the look of the tables or any changes. (maybe there is... but I don't notice it).
All of the themes (there's not many, lol) actually HURT my eyes when I try to use them. There's only one theme that this doesn't happen with (if they didn't have that one I wouldn't play any games/tables at all). 'Mercury' with dark background & either blue or green felt on table.
Reading on some other sites/forums there's some long itemized lists of all the things that are lacking or no longer exist (ie note feature).
Here's two screenshots I took to show the difference in appearance from the old vs. new
The size of the notes when you 'mouse over' the icon on the player is ridiculous. Need a magnifying glass to read it.

Even before the Aurora Graphics, I was using 4 color decks and preferred that over the decks with the white background. It's just easier to spot suits right away, and saving some mental energy there.
So I deleted the files in the ImgCache folder this morning, and it seems to be working now without the Aurora graphics, which is terrific.
Also, I have disabled the throwables - they're a complete utter waste and serve no purpose for me. I'm focused on playing poker, making decisions, not what crap I am going to throw at other people.

I do not like Aurora and need no fancy graphics. What I expect is to see the card symbols clearly, especially clubs and spades often look similar, that became the issue while multiplaying and on mobile Apps, where cards often are very tiny.
I travel a lot and play on different devices and sometime it slows down the App.
If forced to Aurora I will not quit, but just play less with Pokerstars and more elsewhere.

Update to PokerStars Today. Aurora addressed.

"Aurora graphic setting (Settings > Table Appearance > Animation > Aurora Graphics Quality) is now controlling the frame refreshing rate. This should drastically improve performances for most players if you’re using Aurora at a lower setting"
Maybe they are listening?

As an aside it seems Aurora Graphics has taken over the table background on the Turbo Series and you end up with red back cards on a red background. Not cool. You can override this by changing to the Classic setting which seems to be one of the few settings that will work.

I started to have a problem with Aurora three weeks ago, before it worked fine. Reduced all settings to low but even that did not help me much, everything worked in the slow mode. But today after their updates it works ok, not so perfect like before but better than these last three weeks. I used Fult Tilt platform when my problem started with Aurora but PS just closed FT a few days ago.
PS. I have laptop I7-4510U CPU at 2.6 GHz with 6G RAM which is should be more than enough in my opinion. But PS sign popped off during the game and said to reduce the animation of Aurora because it is slowing down my laptop.

I have done it and it works like a charm , there are two known problems though(which I don't mind at all).
1.the time bar/time bank bar doesn't work(still can see it but isn't moving)
2.when you want to label someone you can choose your label but there is no color coding as a ''prefix'' of the label.

Still lagging after the previous update (not the latest one) but the problem for me is I don't have a super powerful laptop and whenever I fire some tourneys I play in 2-3 different sites which are also ram/cpu consuming , so I prefer PS to be as light as possible
