Thanks :) Yea that's the reason I don't mind playing... The starting stacks are great.

I'm gonna have something to eat and I am gonna play the bounty builder also that starts in 30+ mins :)

Take it down EG

The main problem with most Guaranteed tournament is overlays. To counter this they need to make the payout structures more attractives. One example is to increase the field payout structure where at least 20-25% of the field will have chances to get ITM.This will surely attract more recreational players.

I like 3 hours late.
cos if you want to win any big money from MTT
All in war could never be avoided.

just jump in for shortstack and all in.
if feels lucky...just go on saves time.
don't think if jump in early guarantee to gain extra chips from fish.
think about when blinds 10/20 you get 4bb/100 from fish play for 3 hours
does not efficient than blinds 500/1000, when a all in with fish.

all i am saying if you guys go by those late reg ideas, your GTD will be tops $750. and the time you spend playing is maybe 2 hours less. your still looking at a 6 - 9 hour event so what are you winning?

Just play til you have all the chips

I remember the first time I played the CC on PP and I won that $200 ticket I was thrown straight into the action and I was the SS... I managed to win my all ins, If I remember my first all-in hand was 77 and they held. I managed to cash for $1,000 placing in 30th place.

The games were then moved to a Saturday so we weren't thrown straight into the action with little time left of late reg.

So I can understand why you would rather reg later, than play from the start. I am normally crap at flipping, I know I lose way more than I win :D For that reason I like to play from the start, and hopefully run well.

The bounty I played last night I was running bad at the start and a few times played bad... Think was due to frustration for playing bad in the first place. I finally knocked a player out but didn't get the bounty :( I was up against 2 players I OR raise with AA guy to my left raises and another guy shoves so I Shoved and the guy to my left with TT comes along... Now the guy to my left has more chips than me. The shover had AQ can't remember if it was sooooted :) TT's didn't hit and the AQ was KO'd... Bounty went to TT's. I never knew the rule that the one with the bigger stack at the start of the hand gets the bounty... Pretty chit I think... Never won a bounty yet in these games. I managed a min-cash only to find it was less than my BI LOL I will still play them as I want to bink for the $200+ win... Fingers crossed :)

You won the pot but someone else got the bounty?
This was at pokerstars?
Can you post this hand?

edit - This can happen only if AQ had more chips than you. Then you won most of AQ's chips, but TT won the remainder, knocking AQ out.

Main Pot [12,844]: (Pre 75%, Flop 87%, Turn 95%)

Ah so it was because BB and the CO had slightly more chips than me, so CO's TT KOd BB AQ and if the BB was less than me and the CO I would of won the bounty?

I don't like the late reg either.

15-30 mins should be enough and at a push an hour.

That's why I prefer the 45/90/180 mans no late reg :D

2 hour late reg is the main reason I don't play many large tourneys, 30 mins is ample amount of late reg, max 1 hour.

:(

A lot of times the reasons that this is done is because they are guaranteed tourneys & the sites want to make sure they don't pay out anything, therefore they have elongated rebuy periods to alleviate the chance that they won't have enough buy-ins/rebuys to cover the GTD part.

Personally I don't like it whatsoever when rebuys are 2 hours or even longer( I have seen some that are 3 hours), but unfortunately that seems to be the trend. I have talked to sites about this & I quickly realized this was a tremendous waste of my time.

I understand the reason sites do it, however I would prefer rebuys up to 1 hour max.
