PO- I'm completely open to suggestions. Of the ones I've tried in the last couple days, Feltstars is the only one that doesn't burn my eyes out trying to play.
I want a room that's as close to FTP's look that's safe for me to put a bit of cash in.

Doug

I tried to send a PM but Noobs can't do that until they have a few more posts. Here's what I tried to send to-
Poker Orifice-
You kind of blasted my view of Feltstars and mentioned that if I was used to playing FTP, why would that be acceptable.
I'd really like some suggestions on a safe place for a US player to play a bit of cash.
Many of the sites suggested by the forum are not accepting US players.
Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Doug
Sorry if I came off sounding like a dick.
For US players these days... I'm really not too sure???
As far as I know, Carbon is no longer accepting new US players (for the time being), so I believe that leaves you with Cake & bodog. I live in canada & feel fortunate that there are still other sites I can play on but none of them really compare to Fulltilt imo (Stars is close... the others are nowhere near close).
You could maybe take a look at PokerScout as they show the daily/weekly player traffic on the different sites (just don't use their links for sign ups).

Sigh.

No offense intended when I say this, but you have been around for a while to know about what's been going on with full tilt etc, why you would even CONSIDER it at this stage is well beyond me so I can't actually feel anything in terms of sympathy apart from I can't believe the stupidity of depositing now or since black friday.

Never understood why ANYONE would EVER deposit money during the times at full tilt poker at the minute. As soon as they got indicted I would never of deposited there until everything was sorted out.

Why people wouldn't just go deposit at stars or any other site is beyond me, yet many still continued to deposit at full tilt after knowing what happened. So weird..

Just to defend myself here, I've been pretty much non existent on here since the whole BF thing. And was nothing more than aware of the fact that the US players were banned from playing, Since April I stopped playing to focus on exams. If not for a tad bit of PLO here and there. So I had no idea of the way that US players were treated, otherwise of course I wouldn't have deposited. It was a significant chunk of money especially comparative to my bank account lol.

So please, find it somewhere in your heart to have some sympathy for a stupid retard donkfish like myself. Kthanks. :)

Also with all this investor talks who knows maybe I might be able to get all of it back. One time!

"Mr. Ivey intends to dismiss his lawsuit as he believes Full Tilt is taking steps to see that the players are paid," Chesnoff said.

Cool. Wonder how long it'll take for players to start getting paid.

Because the other sites SUCK BIG TIME by comparison perhaps??
Because would one figure that Howard, Jesus, Bloch et al, will just abandon ship.. say 'fk it' to a co. that was rakin' $1mil/day? So they can just take their money & run,..... & then just never play poker again in their lives??? Or do you think they'd even want to go back to trying to grind for a living? (after making money hand over fist with FTP). I think one could easily assume that they will (or 'were') trying to salvage the business.

...& Jokerstars doesn't have the WSOP Fantasy Contest :) ..... & it's 'rigged'.. obv. :)

< but you continued to play on Pokerstars....No? Isn't it 'investing money' every single time you enter a game? (sng/mtt). Did you withdrawl all funds on Stars after B.F.?

Yeah I continued to play, after I withdrew my monies. I took all my money off pokerstars, apart from around $11.00 and spent my FPP's. I just kept it on moneybookers till I was comfortable with pokerstars, which was like the next day or so after all the rumors about it being shut down within "24/48 hours" time. After this deadline and knowing pokerstars was willing to always make withdrawals requests happen just as quick as normal I was very comfortable in playing again on the site knowing the money was always safe. The same couldn't be said for FTP, to much stuff was going on and still going on for it to feel safe to me.

I really do not know what to make of the L.A.Times report. The only logical assumption i can come up with is that some one has to put out a press release quickly. If that some one is Full Tilt, how much of it are we supposed to believe?

The day China flexes it's muscles, is the day you should be afraid of. If they pulled out and cashed in all their US investments, the US would be bankrupt. As the adage goes, "the pen is mightier than the sword".

thread derail, but the above is nonsense. What would happen is that the dollar would plunge versus the yuan, Chinese investors would take a huge loss on their US investments, Chinese exports would become a lot less competitive and US exports a lot more, ... essentially i would be an extremely good thing for the US and an extremely bad thing for China.

I received an email today about a Poker 770 promo offer where one can receive 'free $'s' if you include your FTP sn when sigining up.
Cool news that Ivey has dropped his lawsuit against FTP & sounds semi-decent with the purchase of FTP in the works.
Latest I've read on it is > could take up to 3weeks to finalize. Maybe I should start up a support group? A 12-step Recovery group NO-MORE-FTP-Anonymous

Possibly a bad thing, though if the new buyers were already planning to pay out the US player base then they could reasonably expect a suit like this one to be dropped as soon as they roll that plan out.

Me two and was running top 20 in the Fergy when it crashed, but that's life.

Playing 888poker to get my fix at moment, graphics are great and the players are somewhat green.:D

I made a deposit on Full Tilt about 30 seconds before the site shut down. The deposit was by prepaid credit card. so I immediately contacted them and demanded that they not process the charge. They processed it anyway. In my view they were aware that they were about to be shut down, so their processing of my deposit is fraudulent. If I can scare up the money to hire an Alderney lawyer and sue them, I'm going to do so. It's a matter of principle.

As good as those promos are and as much as I would like to support PP, ipoker software is just unbearable imo. 4/6 at a table in the lobby, you go to sit down and there's 6/6 and 1 waiting when you get there, ridiculous amounts of time for each player to act, games nittier than other networks(for micro at least). The list goes on.

Well, at least you don't have to worry about your FTP transfer addiction anymore...

lololol

I would think the best thing for all of us who have money on FT is for the site to be sold. Without the sale I doubt we will get anything back. So the sale is a good thing. All we have to hope is that the sale is not de-rail by some dumb ass regulator or US official wanting to make a name for themselves. As far as I can see the sale now hinges on agreement from the DOJ and AGCC.

I still can't believe people were dumb enough to deposit on Tilt with the way the company was being run even before the license was pulled. It's your own fault that your money got taken here because it was stupid as hell to deposit. Put it this way, I wasn't going to take out any investments with Lehman Brothers in September 2008 for the same reason...

They might debit it to your account initially and then subsequently credit it back?

What Full Tilt have done is nowhere near as bad as what happened with Absolute/UB, and people still continued to deposit there. Also if you're in the US you couldn't have put money into Full Tilt even if you wanted to, so all this smug "I'm so clever with the benefit of hindsight and you're all so stupid" talk is largely rhetorical. I hope it makes you feel better, anyway :)
