Nope. GGPoker is a flagship room of GG Network and has nothing to do with Cake Poker Network or better said Revolution Gaming Network, as they have purchased Cake Poker a long time ago.

Geez, pokerstars must be having a lump in throat feeling by reading such news.
Good for Daniel, that he found a better sponsor and great for GG Network, as it will boost the popularity of the room immense, as we can see in the comments already! Great deal for them. :deal:

Talking about GG Poker, I'm playing few years there already. Can't say any bad words about it. Very weak field of players (mostly Asians), compared to PokerStars. Nice tournament structures. Even a rakeback reward system, paying you dollars back, instead of silly chests or points. The only thing I'm missing there is Sit & Go games. Definitely recommend trying this one. :top:

i was playing some freerolls and the site has very beautiful enviroment and some option that you don't find elsewhere:

This is a clear solution. Too many casinos, slot machines, slots, bets on sports events have appeared on pokerstars. This room has turned into something like a game club for everyone. This is understandable, the owner wants to increase income. Daniel with a bad room will not sign an agreement. The other day I will register I will try to play. Thanks for the information.

Bad judgement.
The money they give to Daniel Negreanu would be better used for offering freerolls. The traffic would increase not only due to the freerolls themselves, but due to the play through requirement for all the winnings.
Not only that the freeroll money return more than 100% to the site, but players also make deposits in order to cash out and also there is a lot of free publicity by player's word of mouth (poker players would rather listen to their peers recommending a poker site than by the site's payed "ambassador").

Like that, GGpoker is putting money into a washed up poker pro's pocket gambling on the idea that they will make a name for themselves based on his image.
The problem is nowadays Daniel is closer to a social media influencer than to a true professional poker player. Pokerstars parted ways with Daniel because he was not worth the money they were paying him anymore. He wasn't for Pokerstars and he will not be for GGpoker.

For a startup, popularity is paramount, and nothing gets you more popularity than freerolls. Betonline was hugely popular when they were offering good freerolls, yes they stopped that but they were not a startup anymore when they did it.

i didn't know this till today when i saw Daniel wearing GG T-shirt on natural8 promotions .
i think Daniel is a very smart person and he won't leave stars without important reason .
in my opinion shifting to GG was not easy decision for him to take.
