Which brings up the point of some piss poor management at FT. They have the trademark, and if they have the patent on Rush, the licensing rights alone would more than cover what they owe us. Over the lifetime of a patent, they could easily license it for well over a billion dollars, and I feel very confidant that number is way low.

I'm guessing that number is pretty high, especially when another company could do what many do when it comes to patent diversion and just make one small change, call it something else, and viola, you get the same result/product.Yet, only FT has Rush poker...............

If(really big if) FT comes back it will be with new management and I think that changes the situation. New management will run the comapany differently and I think they'll be very aware of the fact that people will be watching them like a hawk.
The other side of that coin is that while the software will be the same the way promos and RB and all that could change, for the worse probaby, and it might not be worth it for some to go back just for the software

Neither site will be back in the US. If poker is "legalized" it will be restricted to existing large American casinos for the foreseeable future. Crony capitalism at its best.

Wow. The only possible good news in this is that the DOJ is admitting that they were "our" funds, but I doubt they will use the $ they seized to help FTP pay us back.
The US Department of Justice has amended its Black Friday civil complain to include discussion of alleged “Full Tilt Poker’s and the FTP insider defendants’ theft of player funds.”.............."The new complaint also contains detailed information about Full Tilt’s debt to players, stating that it was approximately $390 million on March 31, 2011, and is still over $300 million today. It states that approximately $150 million is owed to US players."

I actually think this is good news all things considered. The DOJ is acknowledging that players have a right to their money and they have the hammer to possibly get it.

Wonder if they are doing this to deflect US players anger at them. The forbes article seems a bit weak. Not to defend FTP, but the DOJ did keep seizing the deposits players were trying to make. The DOJ has at least $115 million of our $ which would go a long way toward repaying the players.

Ya, good point. Lol. I was always amazed that people would still play there. To be fair I think/hope any regs who played there because of the soft games knew the risks and the people at FT didnt. Also I would think/hope the the regs kept the smallest amount they needed to play on the site.

What they did cant be compared to cheating with intent. They made mistakes, very bad mistakes that if proven true do deserve some consequences but I wouldnt lump HL and JF with "gambling cheaters". Dont get me wrong, this is pissing me off quite a bit but lets not just type hyperbole for no reason.
And what does the ROW players have to do with anything here. We're all in the same boat thanks to your DOJ.
