Depends of the players, but if I note that the emote disturbs or annoying then, i can use it.

I consider players who use emoticons excessively as emotional players who cannot control their own game and even their behaviour in the chat room. I feel sorry for such players. I think in most cases they are unhappy, deeply troubled people.

I seem to recall this question being asked before...

.....so here's my answer from then since my answer hasn't changed,

I don't play there... but to answer the question of strategy or lack of respect..

it can be both, it can also put a target on your back so that goes both ways,

I think private forum games are intended to be more friendly so I would

say probably more lack of respect if you are "abusing" them as you say,

if players are coming to you and complaining I think that's your answer👍

Are duplicate topics against the rules? I didn't know, okay.

They can really wind me up, I have the emotional control of a two year old. I have them turned off on sites where I can or I hide under my helmet in GG. 😄

The only time it would be acceptable is if the original thread is very, very old, and you want to cover new, updated information not included in the original topic. These two threads were nearly identical, and not that far apart in regards to when they were created.

I think those throwables are most used by recreational players.
I usually put myself on mute

The only way to somehow communicate with the players, I don’t understand why the chat was removed

Using emotes and throwables can be a strategy, but overdoing it might cross into bad etiquette. If it tilts opponents, it works—but if it ruins the vibe, expect some pushback. Balance is key.

I consider the use of emotes stupid. That's why every time someone throws one at me. Even though it doesn't affect my way of playing, I proceed to shoot at him until I tire him out. just like saying "do you want to bother me? I'll do the same"

I generally try not to use it because I've noticed that players become more aggressive against you if you throw things at them, so if you want a quiet game I don't recommend them, but it all depends on how the player reacts.

For me, throwing emojis is simply entertainment and a way to get revenge when you lose to a bad player.
For example: 2 days ago I lost almost all of my chips in a tournament after 2 hours of play. I had AK and my opponent decided to go all-in pre-flop. I decided to match it and it ended up beating me. In those moments I decide to get mad at the player by throwing emotes at him.

Personally, I don't think this is disrespect or insult to any of the players. If emotions or throwing weapons somehow hurt the honor of any of the players, I think the creators of the 888poker poker room wouldn't have allowed such a function to be in their software. Especially since emotions and throwing weapons both use fairy tale characters or fairy tale objects, and to be honest, I don't understand how you can be offended by something related to cartoons?) It's another matter if you do this too often, for example, every few minutes and towards the same opponent, and so on throughout the entire game), then I think such an act will irritate many players. Well, since this doesn't happen often, I think it's within the norm. There should be a limit to everything, and before you do something, it's better to put yourself in the shoes of the person you want to do it to :).

I demonstrate I mean no disrespect by continuously circling around the table throwing 'donkey' emotes at each player in turn after each and every hand throughput my entire session.

If I then happen to emote someone with a donkey 'for real' they know it's nothing personal and that I just think they played a particular hand like a donkey. I tend not to do this with the poop emote for obvious hygiene reasons.

The use of emotions, laughter and provocation in 888 poker is neither a strategy nor disrespectful. It's just childish stupidity :)

I deactivate this option everywhere I play , I don't want to throw objects or show smilies while I play , and I don't want others to do this . It's good to have the option not to see this nonsense, all these stupid things . Focus at the table , at the cards , nothing else .
