In any casino game, if you lose the casino wins. On an online poker tournament if you lose then another player wins, the oline poker site having already taken a portion of your entry fee.

Cash games on a poker site are different in that the poker site makes its money by taking a proportion of the winnings each time somebody wins. So the more you win the more the site takes.

You have no idea, though, when playing a casino game online whether the game is based on a randon selsction of cards, numbers etc. On an online poker game the site doesn't care who wins, so there's no point in the site 'fiddling' the cards in any way.

In my opinion, MTT is at a certain stage of the game. But still, no more than that.

If you're not playing mindlessly, then it's not just about luck.
If you're playing regular - normal - tournaments (no speed/turbo/etc.), knowledge also matters a lot, it's not just about pressing a button like in a casino.

No, in relation to some tournaments you receive x chips after registering, it depends on whether you turn it into a casino or not.
Right after you receive your chips you must manage with a better strategy to get as far as possible.
In tournaments we must play thinking about always making the best decision based on the tournament stage and your hand.
Now if you pay the registration fee and go all in every time and reenter, this can be similar to a casino.

I believe it is
in general poker is not really gambling if you know what you are doing (but if you don't, it pretty much is), but i've heard about some shady poker rooms where what is going on is manipulated and you are basically playing slots there, but for major trusted poker rooms i'd say it is just depends on skill and knowledge as it is in live poker

This is the goal of poker rooms.

As discussed in a comment by the CEO of the Russian skin of GGpoker...
Making poker become a game of chance is the goal.

All poker rooms warn us that the platform is not a means of making money, but of having fun.

So every day we will see more and more poker as a casino, I guess!

Yes, online poker is a casino-like game. It involves betting and chance, but skill also plays a big role.

Yes it's like slots, each card dealt should be thought of as a reel on a slot machine(y)

Definitely not, poker is not like a casino, a lot depends on the skill of patience and understanding of the game from oneself, unlike casinos.

Luck is everywhere(Not only games). Choose the game which has better odds for you. In poker, you can increase your odds by playing good hands and bankroll management. If you play many hands then it is like any other game.

Yes, of course. Online poker is a casino game, just an online casino in this case :)
I don't see a significant difference between playing in a live casino and playing in a casino online. Even online, in my opinion, is more convenient, because you can play at home on the couch, without unnecessary movements.

Yes, online poker is similar to casino games, but it involves more strategy and skill compared to most casino games.

Not really as you are playing against other players rather than the house. The house still takes a rake, so the house always wins. But you’re opponents are other people.

If we consider poker in general terms, then we can say - yes, it is similar. Both poker and casino games are all card games for money in which there is excitement. But if we begin to understand in more detail what poker is, then you will understand that it has absolutely no similarities with a casino. Perhaps one of the main differences is that in a casino the player plays against the establishment, and the casino's chances of winning are always higher than the player's, this is how the mathematics of absolutely all casino games work, as far as I know. And in poker, players play against each other, and the chances of winning are the same for all players, the establishment only takes its percentage of money for the services provided. Also, knowledge of psychology in a casino does not give the player any advantage, which cannot be said about poker, in which knowledge of psychology gives the player an advantage over other players and, accordingly, his chances of winning are significantly increased. There are actually a lot of differences, in order to understand this, you need to understand poker well and play it for a long time. And online poker is no different from live poker in its essence, if that's what you meant).

Online poker is like a casino game because it involves money, but it's different because players use skill to win against each other instead of playing against the house.

Unlike casino games, poker doesn't rely so much on luck, but on skill, understanding the table, patience, hand reading, and so on.

Online poker is more of a skill game than a casino game, even though it is often hosted on casino platforms.
