Most of all, I have lost everything and am in debt, do you have any useful advice to help me?
Quit playing poker! (maybe easier said than done)
It sounds like it has been a big problem for you. Personally I'd consider attending a 12-Step Recovery Group if I were in your shoes.

For myself, my regrets from poker >>
Not spending MORE time playing and playing at slightly higher buyins pre 2012. And playing full-time during COVID would've been another thing I wish I'd done. But life had other plans for me. Today I try to play for fun... still at low buyins for the most part, 'hoping' to earn a bit of extra income a few days/week.

If I could go back in time, would you like to know poker, I've lost a lot of things. Discouraged
i played first freeroll in 2003 online poker ive won a high amount more then most so yes would play still prefer live 100% ive learned easiest way to get bankroll is omaha for me in cash games but love my tournaments but yes id play i took more and more time off every year last sit out was 3 and half years first time basically went off for other 5 months online.....it was the results at acr that pissed me off....i struggled a bit maybe lost 600 but had won a few k actually even though sharkscope has different stats new computers so cant show truth so pissed me off got more into helping two autistic children learn how to read do math etc...so was teaching them by video games to read with me ....things like that sometimes life gets in your way and helping sister who had stage four breast cancer

biggest thing is the friendships got lucky met annie duke at ultimate bet played her a lot of nights over a long period years and met sooo many great people and players? id never have regrets it helps i won but had good suggestions and teachers but life is more then that...when first got sick ill say was over 100 cc people who got in my corner as had to quit leagues etc....wished me well in hospital is nothing like a community like this maybe the hockey community in the world in my opinion bigger then friendships from people went to high school with on facebook etc..i had moved to florida for 27 years but i became better friends here at one point then people went to school with even though stayed in touch ....that is amazing honestly :)

It's a pity that the Internet didn't appear in the 1980s, I would have been playing since I was 16.

But I've lost and lost a lot, man, and I don't feel better thinking about quitting poker.
you won't be able to quit poker because both those who win millions and those who lose a lot never quit poker

It would be great to start again but with my actual knowledge. I'd try to do that better, start studying since the beggining. There's still a lot to learn

I've been playing poker since 2018. If I could go back, I would have started playing poker back in 2000. My only regret is that I started playing so late, but on the other hand, better late than never. If poker is causing you financial losses, you have two options, either stop playing altogether or play freerolls and not spend your own money on the game. As for me, freerolls are a pretty good option in such a situation.

I would definitely play poker again. This game has helped me with household expenses, I only play free tournaments and I have rarely deposited so I have practically lost no money playing

Hi
For many years now, poker has been an additional source of income for me. So if I could go back in time, I would immediately become a member of the CardsChat community and focus on the game. Who knows, maybe by now I would be a professional player.

If I could go back in time? At a time when poker was more popular than it is now? When were there no solvers, bots and other programs? When did rooms offer significantly more interesting and profitable promotions and bonuses? Definitely, I would play poker.

If I could go back to being 9 years old, it would be a dream of my life! To live my life all over again, but without mistakes and already knowing how to play poker like I do now. I think yes, I think that's my new dream.

I wish I could go back in time to start playing earlier. I wouldn't give up on Poker. Just with today's experience I wouldn't make the same mistakes...
Or maybe I would. You'll know.

Honestly? I don't know.
I'm sure it would remain a hobby if I started it and didn't aim to make a living from it.

I still think there is money to be made from the game but you have to choose your games carefully, i definitely feel cash games will increase in popularity over the next 10 years even more so from now as players look at maximise even a short term profit.
MTT's are a real specialism hence why i elect mainly to look at PKOs and a number of the top pros have followed suit - Spraggy just one of several.

Most of all, I have lost everything and am in debt, do you have any useful advice to help me?
I believe that if you become in debt because of poker, know that you have taken the wrong approach, and know that you will repeat the same mistake if you do not correct the way you deal with the rules of the bankroll, apply them and respect them with determination, your focus is now unstable.
I see that now you have to pay off your debts first and foremost, enjoy free tournaments or other games you like until you end the badbeat state and regain your focus.
Review carefully the strategies and rules of poker so that you can regain your mood and self-confidence.
Enjoy poker and wait for your chance.
Good luck;)

Yes, I would, it has won me a little bit of money and skill learnt from experience playing. Online has been great really for the game in general. The wonders of technology!

I have done so badly in poker that my answer will sound negative, I think that if I could go back I think I would choose a quiet life, you know, with a stable job and a lot of rest, since depending on poker is not a good idea. I have seen many fall, who have really ruined their lives, really sad stories, and I am the reflection of them. Someday I will also fall. I always have that feeling of failing and not having money and living on the street. I think that this is the future of 85% of the poker community. I hope that they use their winnings and invest them in something productive, and do not end up bankrupt.

As a regular player, I would of course get into the game anyway, because I have a lot of good memories attached to it.
This is also something in life that everyone should try, poker can teach you many things that can be useful in real life as well.

Dude, the paradox is that the more money you want to win, the more you will lose... that's gambling addiction. You need to be self-disciplined and play within your bankroll, and also work on your game. At the table, your goal should be to be the first, and the money will already be a nice bonus.
