I have played on my phone for a few years, but I got a computer this past week just for poker. I haven't decided on any software yet, but Im reading about HUDs. Now I am half afraid of giving myself information overload. I will try one and see if I can get it set and use it.
I'm in the same situation. I've never bought any HUDs but I'd like to in the future. I'd check out DriveHUD. I used the free trial (30 days I think) and liked it. I also like its cheap cost compared to other HUDs. I've also heard Holdem Manager is good too, but never used that one.
If you are afraid of information overload, then simply leave it on in the background and don't use it much. By running it, it will at least record the
hands and it is that information for study which is the real goldmine of HUDs. I'd like to use them in the future just for identifying and plugging leaks even if I don't use the HUD mid-game much, but I don't feel like I'd be too overloaded, so I'd certainly use a HUD during the game if I buy one
