I agree. Sometimes promotions encourage us to spend extra money. I also analysed my ‘investments’ and several promotions on different sites, 888, GGPoker and PokerStars, and decided that in the future I will limit my participation in such various promotions, because my bankroll is only decreasing from these ‘promotions’Hey forum,
I'm curious about your opinions by the above question.
I figured I tend to play more or formats I usually don't play just to make use of the promo. It's not always a good trade. 😅
Those type of promos are good if you will normally play the Y games- not if you have to step out of your comfort zone- the reward has to be worth 5% of the buyin or more to be worthwhile. Some sites offer temporary promotions where you need to play X games of type Y for something like tournament or cash bonus money or to enter some sort of shootout to win something.
The example you've given here would have me wanting to partake in that promo just that much more! If this is what the requirement is for players, then I'll know that the tables will have that much more action & typically from players who aren't normally playing in that player pool.E.g cardex on pokerstars can be tough when you need to win 7 hands all with crappy specific cards (like do you really want to 3bet 72o just to complete the promo!)
