Setting a time limit was an important step for me. I used to play for maybe 12 hours at a time some days, and while it was fun at the time, it was not like I was winning anymore money from playing longer. Setting time limits for my sessions actually improved my overall win rate I believe that strongly (definitely my hourly).

I don't have any daily limits for now, but it's always good to know when to stop.

Hi :)
Of course, yes.
I follow bankroll management and have daily, weekly, and monthly limits that I stick to. The fact that you played for 5 days without adhering to the limits shows your attitude to the game, a frivolous attitude. Therefore, you are unlikely to become a profitable player.

poker sometimes (okay, maybe 99% of the time) makes me sick, nervous, and vengeful to get back on my feet

I have no limit, if I had the whole world's money in my pocket, I would play it in poker!

Either I win or lose - either I live or die - life is given to me only once!
You are a wise player, everything will work out for you.

The limit is when you no longer feel that you are making the right decisions or when your emotions take control.

Playing without following the limits is like walking on a knife edge. You just risk everything and risk ruining your mood. I have a limit for the day and at the moment it's $7. It's not much, but it's enough for me.

I have a time limit. Sessions of two hours. The results in a single session don’t matter much if I play my A-game. However, A-game play in a specific session is no guarantee for profit. What matters is the never ending long run with thousands of sessions. Everybody has their path to tackle this issue. Setting limits may be very important if you struggle with tilt management.
