A lot of members ask about the best places to stay in Vegas - especially this time of year. I have been meaning to start a thread like this for ages - now seems like a great time.

Please give a review of the hotels you have stayed at in Vegas and I will link your review next to that hotel.

Also mention if they have a poker room or not and whether they host tournaments if you know.

The idea is to have a list of Vegas hotels and casinos in this thread with various reviews linked next to them.

I will start it with some of my own.

You can also ask questions here.

I´m planning a Trip to Vegas. I hope to be soon. I don´t need to stay on a expensive Hotel. Just a room to live my staff, sleep and take a shower.
If someone knows a Hotel with low price and clean rooms, thanks for the advice.

Vegas is not cheap but if your going you may as well spoil yourself and enjoy the poker.

You suggest places where you can relax in Vegas. Does this mean that you can sponsor a trip to "the country of games"?

The Orleans

Another casino I have stood in during my bowling ventures. Any casino review i post is gonna be a cheap place to stay. I always went to bowl and gamble, never for staying in a room to stare at there amenities. So this place has a unreal price and including buffet with stay. As usual I stood here because it didnt tke much to get comped. They will bombard you with free room and buffet fliers to your house. For two and buffet for 2. Birthday rooms and I would play video poker and also receive rooms and food to come join there free video poker tournaments. I never did go. This place is away from strip and again making it a great gambling place. Meaning, I feel and locals say machines are looser away from strip to attract business. Foods good as I never really spent to much to eat great. I just gambled. Did not play poker here also, so sorry not much to say about that. Bowling alley was great. Did plenty of that and blackjack. Paid for that first room the first time and then just kept getting free rooms after that. Well worth it and the rooms were comfy but not fancy as i only stood in the lowest grade rooms. Food was great and cheap. I never spend to much on food because if you look around theres always insane deals like .99cent ribs and fries or $5 steak and eggs. I always show up for these deals. Then back to the casino. I see that much more has been added since i been there like kids activities. If you want a good price, good gambling and room comps with free meal. Stay here. Then just drive around to see strip. Hope this helps.

Great tip and advice. I will be sure to check this place out when I go again. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I was in Vegas two years ago, and stayed in Luxor. Nice place, good rooms, but next time when I go I will choose some of cheap hotel maybe on old streep because for me Vegas isn’t for sleeping. Best buffet was in hotel New Orleans

Virgil's Real BBQ. This is an ultra casual restaurant near the Linq Hotel/Casino. The price is mid range, but I got a 20% discount when I got show tickets at the ½ price ticket wicket. The Memphis ribs were some of the best I have had...portions are large...I could not finish all the ribs. Well worth trying for a casual quick dinner.

Allegro at the Wynn. This place is casual/elegant...in other words, it is a nice restaurant in a beautiful hotel, but they allow shorts. The food is very good, but a bit pricey; somewhere between mid and fine dining. I have eaten there 4 times over 3 trips, the most recent this month, and they are very consistent with the quality of their food. Recommend their pastas.

Buffet at the Wynn. This is a great buffet for breakfast; I have only had dinner there once, over a year ago. They have an omelet station, Asian foods and a wide variety. My problem with buffets is that I have no self control...the food is delicious, so I keep eating until I am ready to burst. I like this buffet better than the Bellagio buffet, which is also rated as one of the best in Las Vegas.

Terrace Point Café at the Wynn. Great food, but very expensive. My wife and I ate there twice on our recent trip. They have omelets with lobster, but my favourite was a Huevos Rancheros to die for.

Jardin at the Wynn/Encore. Wonderful breakfasts. The price is around $60 for two without Mimosas, but excellent food.

I prefer somewhere around the Venetian area I find central enough. The mall for the wife and the tram is easy

I totally agree with that statement. Green Valley Ranch is my favorite place to go in Henderson. It is a total resort of 1st class accomodations... Never played poker there but, they have a marvelous sportsbook. I'd be interested to know the good poker spots in Henderson....

I played poker at GVR last month. The environment in the poker room was pretty friendly to a non-reg. There were several good promotions, which I always love, being a tourist and recreational player. As the night wore on, a few people were drinking and, as you might expect, the play became quite loose. A couple of players were literally giving their money away.

In the wee hours of the morning, a box of donuts was delivered, which was quite a nice touch!

I definitely recommend that you give this room a try if you are in Henderson.

I like Sam's town & Arizona Charlie's (Boulder) to stay, with lower resort fees. ST has a regular bus to downtown and to Harrah's on the Strip.

The poker room only has limit poker and the MTT are small and all locals.
