IMHO it's safe to wait. The hotel has a LOT of rooms.

I would try to stay in the Horseshoe or Paris...you do not want to walk outside in June or July in Vegas, and it is really nice to wake up, grab a quick shower and breakfast and walk a few hundred paces to your table...been there done that back in 2019 when I went to the wsop Colossus with Debi and the Cardschat team (which is a great way to do this)...the tournament was held at the Rio Hotel, so I stayed there...nothing fancy, but well worth the convenient location.

WSOP ME dates have been released (2nd-16th July)

Should I book it now or safe to wait a couple more weeks, will the Horseshoe rooms sell out quick?

You should be fine to wait a little. The full schedule of the WSOP should be out in about a month or so.

I will probably be there as well and plan on staying at the Horseshoe myself. I may be out there for about a week and a half around June 19-29 or so. I won't be there for the main event, though.

I've booked it all, can't wait :)

Does anyone know how a wire transfer works? I asked via e-mail but haven't got a reply. This is the e-mail I received when I asked about registering for Caesars Rewards:

Is it as basic as it sounds? I send money from my bank account to this address and once I arrive then I can use it to buy into tournaments etc?

Hi everyone, need some advice about going to Vegas to play in the WSOP next year.

I was planning on going in 2020 after I turned 21 but obviously COVID happened and scuppered those plans, and the past 2 years I have gone on family holidays instead but next year I am 100% planning on fulfilling my dream of playing in the WSOP.

I'm not planning of staying the whole series, just for 2 weeks (or 3 if I make it into the 2nd week of the Main) so looking at this year's schedule i'd have arrived say a week before the Main began (25th/26th June) and planned to leave on Day 4/5 of the Main unless I made it that far obv:ROFLMAO:

Tournaments from this year's schedule I would've planned on playing:

26th June - 27th June: $600 deepstack
27th June - 29th June: $500 Salute to Warriors
28th June - 2nd July: $400 Collossus
1st July - 3rd July: $1,000 Tag Team (if I can find someone)
2nd July - 4th July: $1,000 Mini Main Event
3rd July - 4th July: $800 Independence Day Celebration NLH
3rd July - busted: $10,000 Main Event

And If I bust the Main early then maybe 1 or both of these:

$1,000 NLH
$600 Ultrastack

Obviously I might not be able to play all of these depends on how I get on etc but that's what my rough schedule would've looked like, total buyins of $15,900.

So I reckon i'd need roughly $16k for buyins, not sure how much for cash games what are the usual stakes played in Vegas? I'm used to playing £1/£2 at my local casino but let's say I bring an extra $4k for cash games so currently at $20k total.

But what about travel/accomodation/other costs etc? I'd be travelling from the UK and a rough search of flights.com says a round trip would cost about $1,200. No idea about accomodation though, any advice where the best places (BnB/hotels near the Strip) and the cost of these would be much appreciated.

What about travelling whilst in Vegas, is everything pretty much walkable or is it advisable to get a taxi/bus or even rent a car? Not sure if i've missed anything but any advice and help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'd say my total cost would be around $20,000-$25,000 or so, is that realistic? I know next year's schedule might be different but let's assume it'll be the same as this years to make it easier.

Thanks again!
That is a fantastic dream. I'm glad you can get to fulfill it. First check WSOP and see if they have any special connections with hotels and car rentals for WSOP Tournament players. check it out it may surprise you.

I heard the buffets that used to cost so little are now ridiculously expensive. Is that true? If so that is awful!
