Everyone's favorite pair is AA because it is the strongest. Now, in Poker, if you wait for AA to play you will leave the tournament before it arrives. And when it arrives, there is no guarantee of anything. So it's just a strong starting hand. Don't overvalue anything preflop.

I can see that everyone has their own preferences regarding your question. I see that there are players who, for example, have a pair of 88, or a pair of 66, or even 22 as their favourite pocket pair. And it looks quite strange.
