Humans are not robots, everyone can make mistakes. The player pays for the mistake, but is the dealer punished?
No, the rules punish players, not dealers, floors, etc. Mistakes happen. This dealer will probably deal at other tables to avoid any issues with this table. The game goes on.

In my opinion she made a serious mistake, not putting a protector or a chip on top of her cards, the dealer thought she had abandoned, I don't blame him.

I completely agree. It is the player’s responsibility to protect their hand and as a dealer (now retired) I have seen the same situation. Unfortunately I was the one who mucked the hand and it could not be resolved.

Ouch... But yeah, as others have said, people make mistakes, protect your hand, especially when it's aces.
