Great to meet E1 at The Rio. Didn't do as well as I had hoped.
I didn't play a single hand for the first 28 minutes then got A,Ks , I was first to act and raised to $275 with blinds being 25 /50. I got 4 callers, flop had a Q and SB throws out a $750 bet so I folded as did the rest of the callers.
Cards just weren't falling for me. Early position, Blinds 75 /150 Look down at Q,Q and I raise to $375. Player immediately to my left raises to $875. I call the raise and I'm thinking, he definitely has Aces or kings . Jack comes on the flop, I check and he bets 1125. I just didn't feel good about this hand and finally let it go. He mucked so I don't know what he had. I may have blew that one????????????
Blinds were still 75/150 and I get J,J, first to act I bet $375 everyone folds to BB he says now you're gonna play on my blind, and he raises to $875. I immediately went all in and after a couple of minutes he folded. Didn't play in another hand until after the first break.
The first 4
hands after returning from the break were 10/4, 10/2, 10/4, and 10/4 That's how nearly every hand looked all day.
I took the blinds and antes twice when I shoved with A,K and A,9. Finally had 6,6 with about 2K left blinds were 200/400 /100 got 2 callers and the flop is 2,3, 7. Turn is 4, I'm thinking great, all low cards this could be good. one guy bets 1100 and the other folded. We flip our cards and he has 3,3. He had flopped a set of threes. I needed a 5 for the straight or 6 for a higher set. Q on the river, and my WSOP experience is over.
I still had fun and enjoyed putting faces to some of our famous CCers.
Thank for putting his together, it was an honor repping CC
Oh, by he way I got to sit with Chris Moorman, and met Barry Greenstein getting off the elevator.
