Age is definitely not an obstacle. However, dealing cards, especially in a casino, is not as easy as it might sound. Besides the technic side, the speed and the little math required to be able to count not only chips, but side pots and so on, a dealer must also know how to deal different variants. You haven't mentioned if you have any experience doing it. If yes, go for it man. It's a nice income and more importantly a lot of fun for someone who likes poker and casino environment. I've done it for about 7 years, really loved it.I might need a career change and since I'm single, and looking for a little more excitment, and love being in casinos I thought becoming a dealer might be a good move. However, I'm 46 years old and it seems like it might be an old age to start. I honestly have no idea. I have experienced a lot of agism in the tech industry and I wonder what it is like in a casino environment. Is this a good move? Please let me know your honest opinions and experiences. Thanks!
