I've been playing 50 and 100nl for months now (losing at 100nl what I win at 50nl) and I'm still here, so you'll be fine to stick around too. :)

ur still losing at 100nl damn it? :(

Well, I haven't played 100nl at all this month. Actually, I've barely played 50nl at all this month (12K hands total). I've just had zero desire to play. I'm beating 50nl at about 5BB/100 on the month but I think it's that I have no desire to get back up to play 100. It's pretty sad actually.

do you use micro stakes to win money or too practice, i mean you always wanna win money but i feel that the real poker doesnt start until you get to the highstakes starting from 25 cent to 50 cent tables because you can wi alot of money thier

Most people use micros to start out and learn whilst playing and grind up through the levels. However some just grind there all the time because they cant beat any higher consistently.

50NL (25 cent 50cent is 50NL If you meant that) is micros aswell dude.

5.) What exactly was I representing anyway? This made me think too.. a set of 6's A set of A's?? Had I had that hand.. I wouldn't have played it that way anyway.. so the 'story of the hand' didn't really make any sense either!

i really wouldn't think you 3bet with 66. if you did i would have to pay you off. esp after you bet the flop. but another thing about the buff. did he have more than 1/3 of his chips in. i sounds as though there was a lot of chips already in. he may of felt(correctly) that he was pot commited(getting better than 2 to 1 odds) and had to call even if he though he was behind.

Now mistake number 2. Don't bet the flop. You shouldn't even be in this situation but since we know villain is never going to have AT or worse here and isn't going to call more than one street with an underpair (presumably), betting the flop accomplishes nothing.

i'm not so sure if it's a huge mistake here to bet the flop. you are ahead of his range here(13 ways to have AA-JJ vs 8 ways to have AK). he may call a vbet here w/an under pair. but if he calls i vbet here he would be more likely to call it on the turn or river. i would check he flop here as not to build a huge pot w/ a weak hand. also it just may get a vbet called more often on the river.

lol. yes i'm way behind. i've just started here today. i'm currently trying to do a chris ferguson type challenge. i want to build a bankroll from nothing. i got $15.77 so far from nothing. i am not however making a low limit exception meaning i would need over $40 to play in the .01/.02 cent micros(would that be 2NL or 20NL?). but in the mean time i am trying to find out as much as possible about this range. i gather from this thread that this level can be beaten. any tips would be great. thanks.

1c/2c is called 2nl yes and it's certainly beatable. Full of donks who have no clue.

You will see the worst play there. Don't get too frustrated because people play wild and loose there and will suckout on you. Just play a standard TAG style and valuebet the hell out of your big hands and you will be fine !

Welcome !

Yeah Enty, fold ffs! There's absolutley no reason to be making high variance plays like this at 10nl, especially when that limit is full of stations.

Come on man, just play solid FFS!

OK,OK. Just re-read your post. That play is perfectly acceptable to fellow CC'ers as long as you show the bluff! :p
