OK....I read all 10 pages of this thread and did not see this one anywhere:

AINEC

I believe it means "all in on the next card" but I'm not sure...anyone know?

also, a few to add...

"wired pair" means in a stud game when you start with 3 cards, a wired pair means both your hole cards are a pair, as opposed to a "split pair" where your up card matches one of your hole cards.

"rolled up" also refers to stud when all 3 of your starting cards are the same = a VERY VERY strong hand. "I had rolled up tens" as in T,T,T

Jam= usually means to go all in, but in a limit game it means to raise any bet relentlessly up to the betting limit for that round.

Brick= the next card that comes doesn't help you or your opponent.

A2345= the wheel or bicycle or a bike

Well, I have one that I think I invented and that is the "trike" that is when you are playing either razz or stud-8 and you are dealt 3 cards to a bike.

AINEC -- is an acronym that became popular on poker forums, it means "and it's not even close." As in, "river is a fold ainec."

^^ Pretty sure he's right about that. Although it may be used in both ways. Depends on the forum. I have seen it used more often in the way that BaudiB1 has defined the term for AINEC.

Thanks Sticky. I have often avoiding conversations because I did not understand what some of the abbreviations were...so it's nice to know there's a ''Dictionary'' per say, available to refer to!

Game theory optimal is GTO. It's a term used to describe an unexploitable strategy. It's supposed to be +EV no matter how your opponent adjusts. Doesn't mean it's the highest +EV move though. It's been calculated at the smaller blind levels. Stuff like NASH charts are supposed to be GTO.

OK, now I get it.

This term GTO has been used a lot around me lately, not about me, and now that I understand what they are talking about their conversations make a little more sense. Thanks WizardRubic for the response.

Thank you

Being a new person here, I was amazed at this list of hand analysis, lingo and poker terms. So much to take in and it is very informative. I have heard of some of these terms, but not to this extent. It is a good source to refer to. - PQ

Sorry but I'm new to online poker. What does stacking someone mean as opposed to being stacked? Thanks in advance.

Stacking someone is taking all their chips (their stack)
Being stacked is losing all your own chips (your stack)

Bink means to take down or to win a tournament.

Whiff means to miss, for example to miss a draw, or to misconnect with a flop.
