This is a great source of learning. But one thing I see from the video is that these people know how poker is supposed to be played and it looks like they are playing by the rules, raising or folding when you are supposed to. Did you set the tournament up like that for instructive purposes, or is that the way they usually play?
I was only able to watch 15 min of video of the first part because the video kept freezing up on me and then my application would quit. But, It seems like all players were for the most part following the rules of raising when u are in a position or have a monster hand and folding if they did not.
Now my problem is that this is great for seeing how poker is supposed to be played and I am in no way downing this video because I think Dorkus did a wonderful job and did something that I have never seen before, but, Although it helps me to visually see key points and procedures, I do have questions about the myriad of loose players I constantly run into online.
In a perfect world everyone would be following the rules of order and raising/folding as such with the occasional
bluff. Most people I run up against are what you guys call donks. I will have and AQ or AA or KK - i will have waited for this card for many
hands folding all the while. I raise 4BB and some donk will call with 53o and catch. Or worse, someone will call me all the way to the river with 24s and catch a flush on the river when I AA flop an ace to make trips.
The problem lies where I make my raise appropriately to try to thin the herd, but no one folds and that pretty much deadens my chances to win because I am up against 5 other people - even though I have top pair, trips, whatever.
Another situation I am constantly running into in tournament play is the people who fold constantly, trying to place in the money. but I will try to search the forums or start another topic regarding that.
thank you very much for doing the video. I plan to watch it all if I can do it without freezing my computer up. I have no idea what the divx thing is so I am gonna try google a few more times.
