Really strange that they do exclude new players like that.. I would have guessed it's in their interest to let more people sign up and play at the tables lol..

I also think that crazy is this rule at the Party Poker. This rule only prevents it to get more and more new players playing there. I do not understand, nowhere else i have not experienced anything else. This is a pretty interesting business policy for a party poker

I tried to play freerolls at party poker and got the same answer,
but a $10:00 deposit is not a bad thing. Dose anybody know the
deposit code to get free tickets?

It is more than everything for business, nobody will want to lose money without first adding and putting your own money at stake, it is very bad for new players like us but it is also understood

I finally got a Saturday afternoon free to play in the CC freeroll club on party poker today. When I entered the password for the tournament it said I couldn’t register because I’m not a real money player. After much searching I found out that you have to deposit to be able to play real money games including freerolls. Really???

I play on 888 and PokerStars without depositing and have amassed about $65 between the two playing freerolls over a couple of months. I can understand needing to make a deposit before you can withdraw money for account security purposes and to ensure you aren’t creating multiple accounts. But to not be able to play a FREEroll without making a deposit is crazy.

Shame on you party poker. I won’t make a deposit there now just out of principle. You should be able to try it out before depositing and not just play money games.

If anyone knows a way around this let me know.

Cheers

I would rather just do a bank transfer but that option does not seem available.

I think if the player can't afford to deposit $10,they don't want them.:p Simple as that,,,

If I could deposit using something like PayPal or iTunes (I play poker on iPad), I would deposit in a heartbeat.

I’m weary about using my credit card or banking information especially in light of all the recent hacks.

Other options have high fees.
Paysafe cards can be purchased at any post office,,,easy peasy!

The only poker I play there now is the CardsChat Ticket Giveaways
I don’t think there is a better bang for the buck.
With that being said, poor software on the desktop and for ipad just don’t enjoy using either one.PokerStars is by far superior so it’s still where I spend most of my day’s.

I'm guessing I grandfathered in as well since I've been at Party poker almost as long as party poker has existed. I don't remember making a deposit but it is possible I made one at some point to get some tickets. I think I had to complete verification fairly recently even though I'd been there from the start and withdrawn a few times. I guess we should all be reading all the terms and conditions before we decide to use a site but I guess we wouldn't get much time to play with all the pages and pages to digest.

I signed up for party poker but never played it. And knowing that now, I'm not really going to play.

Paysafe cards can be purchased at any post office,,,easy peasy!

I decided to purchase a Paysafe card back in August of this year. It has sat in my office desk drawer for almost 2 months. (I haven't been able to play MTT's online). Today I pull it out as I now have some free time to play! I go to use it and it tells me my PIN has been cancelled. $0.00
WTF? How do I retrieve my money? Just the time I'm going to have to spend now fk'n around with this stupid sh1t. Groan!

Have you ever had this happen (or heard of it happening)? tks

but in this case it is very worth it, it is only 10 dollars the minimum deposit and you have access to the freerolls but also to win tickets on twitter and on twitch, on twitch they have three channels so it is very worth it

I don't understand at all what he's talking about, he says you need a deposit to play free tournaments or I don't understand it:)

While I can understand the frustration of needing to deposit before playing free rolls, can you blame the sites for doing it? Many players are happy to play free rolls but never deposit but want to withdraw when they can. They are in business to make money. Considering they only require a 1 time $10.00 deposit and then you can play free rolls forever I would look at it as a minor investment. It is also a good way for them to verify who you are.

The whole purpose of freerolls is to attract new players or coarse they want a deposit

Thats a very good decision from them. Only accounts who deposited at least once or are verified should be able to participate and no other(s), maybe fake account(s) that can not cashout and only take out money from these tournaments that later the site takes back.

And how is a minimum deposit a Problem anyway? Be happy this site offes anything for free and dont be too cheap please. Sites dont earn nothing from freeroll players.
