Of course, it is easier to play against a maniac and the probability of winning is much higher, but I have the most respect for players who know how to feel the game and how to adapt to the table and their opponents. Personally, I get much more pleasure and inner satisfaction when I beat a strong player than a weak one. I gain experience from strong opponents and learn something new myself. Well, if we consider only monetary winnings, then of course it is most pleasant to play against maniacs or loose players, or my friends and I also call them sweet. I really like watching the game of professionals, when people understand what they are doing, and do not just hope for luck. It is at such moments that I feel real adrenaline and pleasure.

Good points. I guess I am what you call “sweet.” LAG to be more precise. By default I play NL1000. The TAG used to be profitable at high stakes. But they rarely are today. Clinical and constant aggression well tempered take years to execute. And such LAG players are difficult to put on a range whereas the TAG players range are easier to dissect. At the high stakes all six players are TAG or LAG. The latter seems to be the breadwinner. Sweet, ain’t it!

My favorite type of player are maniacs, because they give you all their chips, it's very easy to get all their money out of them.

In general, I don't have a favorite type of player, but there are players I treat with caution. First of all, I consider dangerous players who play with strong cards and rarely bluff, and I always mark such players in my notes.
