Since the quote is only talking about games that are appropriate for men to play, comparing baseball and poker, you can apply that against a women's hobbies as well. For women, cooking, cleaning, ironing, etc. could all replace baseball I guess..... j/k
sorry estelle, need something to keep me warm running in downtown stl. liquor seems to have a knack for that, haha
And also, we're planning a Vegas meeting type thing for this coming summer, in case you didn't know.
im with you sister. i usually drink to the point of blacking out, it makes for amazing stories the next day.
anyway- i dont think a date has been set, just tentatively set for next summer-ish
Welly do you know anyone else with plans to go to the WSOP? A previous forum I was in got together and represented that forum in one event. I don't think they were sponsored, just got little logos on their shirts, and ect. I don't know if there will be a copyright issue, or something else (sorry not so knowledgable on these kinds of things) but it would be pretty nice if a few more people form this forum got together, and then represented.
that's the plan.
and it's not that bad for me at least. i work out every day, either running or lifting so it's not too bad since i dont eat fast food or drink soda. i need some sort of vice in my life to balance.
Someone from here played in a stud event last year. I forget who it was now. Someone help me out in remembering.
As joose says we've had a discussion about meeting around early July (around the time of the main event). Have you got a house that will fit 20 people?
that's fine considering ill probably end up passed out somewhere obscure anyhow.
I assume convenience would play a part in that. We have 5 casinos here in Edmonton and I next to never play at the B&Ms. I prefer to sit in the comfort of my own home.Estelle, just wondering why you would even bother playing online. YOu live in Vegas, when I have gone there it seems to me that there are lots of tourists playing poker and giving their money away. I'd think you'd be at the casinos taking their money.

Welly wear something exotic, or just nothing at all and they will put you on TV, maybe only for a second.
Are you going to be wearing CC gear?

Oh gosh, so is that the way its going to be around here now, liquor at noon?.
It was me!
Well, best of luck this year Welly. It's a truly amazing experience. Regardless of where you finish, it will make you a better player. And even when you aren't playing it's fun to watch other tables and see how the pros are playing.

I had a CardsChat hat on when I played in the 2006 WSOP Stud H/L Event. And I'd love to go back again this year. I think it'd be cool if the forum could send an "official" qualifier.
That's a fun idea, the official qualifier thing, but how would that work, going about picking a person or two?
