The hand I'll never forget was a four of a kind AA I made and my opponent had four of 77, I won a huge pot and also a 12 dollar K.O.

Winning a poker tournament with a royal flush.
Heads up, opponent was 3-betting every other hand. I 4-bet shove JT of hearts, he calls w AQ. I flop the straight, he turns a full house, I bink my one out on the river.
Wish I had played the hand better but oh well... ship the 15k.

Before I became a poker dealer (many years ago) I remember playing in a $1-2NL cash game at one of my local casinos and making a royal flush on the turn. I won a fair sized pot and though the casino gave prizes for such a hand, I was disappointed when all they gave me was a free meal - I guess I was expecting a much better prize lol.

In a tournament of 1 $ buy-in of 90 players , i thinkk , at the final table the hand that help me win it it was royal flush against quads kings :)...funny thing is that the action was check-check untill the river , probably because there were not any value to be bet until then :))...i flop the royal on the flop and opponent turn quads kings ..the pot at the river was 3 BBs but then he act first and we re-re-re-re-raise untill all in :))

I never told anybody this but about 8-9 months ago I'm at the Taj and it's late and I see Johnny Chan walk-in and he goes and sits $300/$600 and you know the whole place stops, Johnny Chan walks in. Everybody puts an eye on him. After a little while there wasn't a Craps game going cause, they're sitting around and they're watching him. Some of them sit down to play with this guy and they're giving away their money to him to say "Oh I sit and played with a World Champion"

You know what I did? I sat down...

And yeah, I needed 50 - 60 grand to play right in that game... Well, I had 5 big blinds (After emptying out my savings) I managed to play for about an hour folding mostly. But then it was time to make a score.. I had rags, I had nothin.. But pfft. he raised and I decided I don't care about the money I'm going to outplay the guy I'm going to outplay him this hand..

I re-raised and he just came back over top of me trying to bully me like I was some tourist... I hesitated for like 2 seconds.. I'll re-raise. And he makes a move towards his cheques and he looks at me and then he called getting great odds and I lost.

HA HA HA! Love it! But wasn't it because "IT was rigged... Johnny saw the 'pattern', went with it & won!"

"What is the hand you remember most, either because of the excitement of winning it or the frustration of losing it? Tell us what happened and how you handled the situation."
My most memorable hand was heads up against Richard Seymour, 3 time Super Bowl winner with New England Patriots. It was after about 15 hours of play right at the end of Day 1 of the 2019 wsop Colossus, and I was getting low on chips. I knew that I would have to go all-in to make it to Day 2 and the money, so I went all-in with pocket 8s. Richard Seymour called me with AJ...my 8s held up and I made it to Day 2, so I at least got a min cash...BTW...lasted only an hour on Day 2. The atmosphere of the WSOP was incredible. I would compare playing in a regular live casino game to the WSOP as seeing a high school football game, then going to the Super Bowl.

I don't really retain most of my hand information but a memorable defeat comes to mind. All in with A,A in my hand, they call me with 7,2 off suit, they end up with full house.
Leaves me "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Or wildest tournament comeback, down to 120 chips at start, then ending with 2nd place finish.

Early in my "poker history", about 13 years ago, I lost a hand with AAAA to a hand other than a Royal Flush.
It took me a few minutes to actually come to understand & realize just how it happened. My biggest loss of chips to date.

2011 SCOOP Main Event. Medium version. Three players left. I shove with A3. Chipleader called and won with KJ. K on the turn. The winner took circa $400.000. Both moves were textbook with me as a small favourite. Third place didn’t leave me empty handed. So it was OK.
