I like both. Both have their pros and cons and in the last few years I mostly played tournaments. Cash games are still fun but you need to know what is good for you and then you can enjoy one or the other or both.

I like tournaments more, I like the competition itself, coming in 1st place is an inexplicable feeling.

Cash games are at a slower pace, giving you more time to wait for a premium hand to play.

I like playing Tournaments, there are elements of competition, and each stage of the tournament has its own characteristics. Cash games are boring for me.

I only play tournaments for myself, the tournament has the advantage of spending little and winning a lot, which in cash games you don't have

I prefer MTT. You get the tourney mindset, grind them down, one by one, until you're on top. Patience to get to the later stages with higher blinds, bigger pots. Cash is a different animal, for occasional use, only, at small limits.

This choice depends on the individual: what is closer to him and what things he likes. Cash games are good for convenience and freedom: you can sit down and leave the table at any time.In tournaments, the variability of situations is much wider. You have a lot of variables in your head all the time.

I prefer tournaments.
Sometimes big, and sometimes small when I don't want to spend a long time playing, like a Sit & Go with 6 to 9 players.

As for cash games, I prefer playing live with friends for a fun time.

I definitely prefer poker tournaments because they offer more i the way of banroll building. Also because of the tournament clock players are forced to take more risk (bluff more) which gives opportunities to pick up on those spots and win huge chip pots. You can range players from tight to loose and the right folds higher % of time

I prefer to play tours because you have little to invest and a lot can be gained

Cash is superior for many reasons imo, especially in the American online scene. Tournaments are fun though.

I prefer tournaments because they have tournament phases, bubble, icm and prize jump, this brings more excitement to the game.

Online tournaments are adviced for beginners and semi-skilled players. Cash games require much more cunningness and fine tuned skills. Preflop skills is the easy part. Postflop skills is where the money lies.
In tournaments the rising blinds make lesser options for clinical postflop play. The endgame can be a crapshoot.
I’d argue that postflop skills are still highly relevant in tournaments, especially in the earlier and middle stages when stack sizes are deeper. Understanding board textures, bet sizing, and opponent tendencies can give you a significant edge before the blinds start to escalate.

I'm love cash
I like tournaments because they are less complicated for me. I've been playing tournaments regularly for more than 7 years and tournaments bring me income. Cash games are more difficult. They are not unprofitable for me, but my results do not motivate me to work in this direction.

I prefer cash games, but since there's full of collusion and RTA then I rarely play them anymore.

I've always been passionate about tournaments, but lately I've been venturing into cash games. It seems that the pace is smoother and more consistent. And you? Which modality is convenient and why?
