OK. I can believe it happened, but the dialogue doesn't seem "verbatim." That's doesn't matter anyway though.
Is there a difference between tipping the waitress with chips and giving them to someone else? It's probably a popular story because no one can believe he couldn't cash it out.
As for the story in this thread, the missing names and basic telling of the story in those words, don't exactly make it seem authentic. All in all, it's more believable, because nothing drastically horrible happened, such as in the other.
