Nolan Dalla is a well know player (he wrote the Stu Unger bio), and this incident was widely covered in the poker community. Everyone from Daniel Negreanu to Mason Malmuth commented on it.
This is from the link: "What follows is a verbatim recollection of the conversation which took place at approximately 2 pm that afternoon"

OK. I can believe it happened, but the dialogue doesn't seem "verbatim." That's doesn't matter anyway though.

Is there a difference between tipping the waitress with chips and giving them to someone else? It's probably a popular story because no one can believe he couldn't cash it out.

As for the story in this thread, the missing names and basic telling of the story in those words, don't exactly make it seem authentic. All in all, it's more believable, because nothing drastically horrible happened, such as in the other.

Um, I don't get it, why is there any debate about the Dalla story? It is fact plain and simple.

Besides the above link to Dalla's account (originally on 2p2):
Here is the original Las Vegas Sun story. Here is Lou Krieger taking the casino's side, here is a counterpoint.

no debate here. Sorry about the random thought in there Ag. I'm not sure how that statement is debating anything you have said. I don't think it does, but if it did, that's horribly weak and irrelevant. It's obviously a true story.

Paul Bilzerian, is the kid’s father in this thread. He was a corporate raider, and made from what I heard billions. He served all kinds of jail time refusing to cooperate with the law after committing all kinds of S.E.C. violations, hiding and holding on to most of his money. He single handedly took down the Singer Company and made tons. He is very much a bad guy, and even to this day is fighting tooth and nail with every arm of the law, including refusing to pay taxes on his mansion in Florida. His money is hidden all over the world.

His son, who was involved with this incident at Vegas, is obvious proof the branch didn’t fall far from the tree.

If you feel like reading for a week google his name. I found this article interesting only cause the super bowl was involved. Superbowl2001: $600,000 Super Bowl rental may involve Bilzerian

Oh yea, and AG, regardless how or what happened to Dalla, and his five thousand dollar chip, they cashed my friends daughter out with absolutely no questions asked. FACT
Didn't want to mention this guys name especially when kids involved, but it's obvious you don't believe to much of anything. Or at least are always trying to prove how much of a genius you are.

Yeah, silly me being skeptical of a 'I have a friend who has a daughter who knows a guy' story...

btw you're not a "kid" if you can legally play poker in a casino.

Why, is it you would think I was bs’ing here. I told you in the beginning of this thread, I meet this kid personally. In addition I’m the god-father to the woman involved.

Yes, agree with you here, but she will always be a kid to me. At her age of 24, I was very concerned that she even ended up with such an ass-hole.

As far as the Jeter dating, she was at one of the pre season games in Tampa, and Jeter had some guy come into the stands, and told her Jeter would like to have dinner with her at his house. She of course accepted and the whole time at his house, his personal trainer was there with him. After the first date they dated a couple of more months alone. Obvious just another hot babe carved onto Jeters belt of woman.

quads, I am glad your friend's daughter got rid of that jerk. No amount of money is worth it to be around such an idiot. Unfortunately, many people don't understand that and are willing to sacrifice their life for money.

And I am not surprised the jerk acted the way he did. These people have no values. They think that everything has a price. And in their infinite stupidity and arrogance, they don't understand that the most important things in life cannot be purchased.
