I know that I can't win every time, even I know that I can't win half of the games

This topic has been raised many times here but are there days when it seems that everything is against me?

Yes, I believe there are days that no matter how well we play, we are going to lose (or not going to have great results). Nowadays, I know how to handle with this situation. When I see it's not my day, I just leave the site for that day, I don't keep trying to win no matter what just because I was in the mood for playing poker. If I see I'm in a good day, I play more tournaments than I usually do.

yeah some days it's just awful. Like yesterday I counted and lost 5 five all ins with at least 60% equity in a row. The odds for that are silly low but it still happens...

it's true sometimes, i feel it, that we are in the place of the losing player
anticipate that we are going to lose the game, it's the part of luck that speaks

After over 30 years of marriage and raising a rather obstinate son, I've had that feeling without playing a single hand of poker.

It has also happened to me, online poker is not completely safe, it's safer to play live poker.

Poker, like everything else, has its ups and downs. There will definitely be days when it feels like everything is against you, but that's just part of the variance. The key is to focus on making the right decisions consistently; over the long term, if you play well, the results will tilt in your favor, and even if you experience losses in the short run, you’ll end up in profit.

Well, here it is obvious. And are there days when it seems that everything is for you?

Sé que no puedo ganar siempre, incluso sé que no puedo ganar la mitad de los juegos.

Este tema se ha planteado muchas veces aquí pero ¿hay días en los que parece que todo está en mi contra?
I think if you won only 5 percent of the tournaments you participate in, that would be too much. Imagine playing 100 $11 tournaments involving more than 300 players. Just earning 5 of those 100, your money would increase a lot.

then everyone who has a lot of money and likes poker would do it, but it doesn't work
give me 10,000 dollars and sooner or later I will lose it anyway with my best game and so will you

Entonces todo el que tenga mucho dinero y le guste el póquer lo haría, pero no funciona.
Dame 10.000 dólares y los perderé con mi mejor juego tarde o temprano y tú también lo harás.
I know. I said this because you were referring to the fact that you knew that you can't win even half of the tournaments you participate in. That would be unrealistic. I just gave one example: even if you win 5 tournaments out of 100, you would already be a successful player.

A break on such days is always the best option. Sometimes one day is enough, sometimes not even a week is enough, but a break is always the option that in most cases does not require additional investments from you :)

I believe this issue transcends all aspects of life, not just poker. I think if you took away the really bad days, we would simultaneously lose the really good ones.

Yes, there are poker days when you simply will not win. One will have the best hole cards but will contrive to lose many hands. This is the nature of the game.

Yes, every poker player experiences days when nothing seems to go their way—bad beats, coolers, and endless unlucky spots. It’s easy to feel like the deck is stacked against you, but it’s crucial to remember that variance is an inherent part of the game. Even the best players go through downswings. The key is to stay disciplined, manage your bankroll, and not let emotions dictate your decisions. Take breaks when needed, review your hands objectively, and focus on long-term results rather than short-term frustration. Mental resilience separates great players from those who go on tilt and lose control.

There are, on the contrary, days when everything is for you.:)
