Been looking for a thread for Poker movies and documentaries and haven't seemed to find one. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Just wondering what other (worth watching) poker movies or documentaries there are out there, I've seen; 2 Month 2 Million, Nose Bleed, Run it up series and various Off the Felt short documentaries.

Any more to add to the list?

It isn't a documentary but, still one of my favorite moves Rounders. If you haven't seen it you might want to check it out.

I love movies in general. But most poker movies are not very good. Obviously Rounders is a good one. But my favorite poker movie is High Roller: The Stu Ungar Story. It starts Michael Imperioli(Christopher from The Sopranos) as Stuey and he does an amazing job. I also really like that movie because Stu Ungar is, in my opinion, the greatest poker player ever, as well as my favorite player ever. But anyone who hasn't seen it, should definitely check it out.

I like Calfornia Split. It is about all forms of gambling but does have a super scene with George Segal sitting down with the Vegas high rollers and Elliot Gould on the rail with Amarillo Slim.

Indeed! The most poker movies are not very good, but the film Rounders really is a good choice. Include also 007 Cassino Royale with the secret agent James Bond.

all three is good, watching all of them! TILT (serial) is best from ur list/ imo.
I would recommend one more: "Shark out of water" and "cincinati kid" / nice timespending

Goes back to my age but I love Maverick with Mel Gibson. It's funny as hell. Plus there playing 5-draw. I won a lot of cash on draw back in the day. See ya at the tables ..Tal

LUCK YOU-----I have this movie on DVD, I always see how to analyze poker can leave vc rich or poor, and when to stop, not to lose everything who win in our lives in one day only

I recently watched something on tv with my dad and it was a movie about this father & son poker playing duo and they're sort of on bad terms, his father's a several time world champ, something about our leading character's mother's watch and a cool love backstory tied in.

Overall was a pretty entertaining feel-good movie with a heartmelting ending, if anyone knows what it's called I'd appreciate the tip and I'm sure OP would too

obviously any poker player will tell you rounders is a great movie and there is another one with eric bana i think and drew barrymore which is a prettty good one

I recommend is a good movie for those who are bored one afternoon, he explains a little about the black friday too.

"All In Pocerface" is a nice film I think. Starring Michael Madsen, Louis Gossett Jr. and Dominique Swain. And the end is unexpectedly .

The Cincinnati Kid (1965)

Cincinnati Kid is all about the poker scene at the end, which is one of the best on film for certain.

I have no idea where this came from. That scene was cringe worthy, terrabad Poker.
