What I would like to know is that with so many players around here, how many people are profitable to play poker?
What types of games do you play (and level too) and what is your daily schedule?I just started playing poker and lost $80, so I only play free games now, but when I won a little money on free games, I lost money soon after participating in other games.
Poker brings me an income. On average, I make $100 a month. I think if I put more effort into it, I could quite possibly have $200-$300, but unfortunately I don't have that much free time. What I would like to know is that with so many players around here, how many people are profitable to play poker?
That's a good way of looking at it. Any move that you make with a better EV than your opponent is the correct move. Except for in certain tournament situations.Actually, it's very simple to understand...
Most part of the players never studied anything about the game.
And this makes everything easier for who keep learning more about it.
Because your profits (in long term, of course) comes from the mistakes your opponents did (-EV decisions, for example) and the losses comes from the mistakes you did against your opponents...
Everything will reflect in your future, no matter what you do...
