Hi guys,

Do you guys think that poker will someday lose its popularity?
I don't think poker will ever lose its popularity! This is not only a mind game, but also an opportunity to earn money for many people!

Poker is shown on TV programs, there are ads from celebrities, a lot of streamers from famous to beginners, tournament events both online and offline. I can assume that the development of the popularity of poker will grow every year.

Poker has been around forever, at least it seems like it, admittedly Texas Hold-em is a relative new game compared to 5 card draw and 7 card stud, which was played in the Wild west days of Wyatt Earp and the like, but in today's society it has been given a new face, it is no longer a game played by crooks and gun fighters.

A book I read a few years ago called "Ghost's at the table" gave a definitive history of Poker and although I would not have bought the book myself (a gift from someone) I found it very interesting and enjoyable read. The author even played in the world series of poker Final, just to see how hard it was and only lasted until day two, which was an achievement in itself.

Poker is no longer restricted to smoke filled bars and back rooms, hidden from view, it is widely available to the whole World thanks to the Internet, and although it's popularity may dwindle a little from time to time, I feel it will be around for a lot of years to come.

I myself have been brought back to playing a lot more on-line games because of the recent events (Covid Pandemic) and will probably still be playing on-line games in the future because they will never cure Covid completely, and it will always be a risk.

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I think poker will not lose its popularity. It will remain only in its environment. And yet, when it comes to online games, most players will lose confidence in fairness and, as a result, interest in the game.

Hi guys,

Do you guys think that poker will someday lose its popularity?
In the near future, I think it will be as popular as it is now. Rather, it will even gain momentum even more. In our time, a large number of people began to play poker, about 8 years ago I did not notice this.

I don't know how long, but poker will be popular. If the interest drops, I think there will be more surprises from poker rooms.

I dont think poker is loosing its popularity but it will always have its up and downs. I think poker will grow again once ore states and country's open up to the fact people enjoy playing this game and stop the BS in trying to stop it.

On the contrary, the popularity of poker is increasing day by day and the biggest proof is the increase in the number of poker sites and casinos as well.

There are far fewer online pokersites today vs 10yrs. ago
I played on ~25 to 30 sites which wasn't that many compared to some friends here on Cardschat (one guy played on over 40 different sites!)

I think not, poker remains in force, there are online tournaments and there are more and more online platforms, even now when people spend more time at home, poker has gained a lot of popularity.

It's not as popular as it once was but it's the type of game that will always have a strong lifeblood. People love to gamble and this is a fun way to do it :).

I don't believe it is losing its popularity. Every time I play in tournaments there are lots of people joining in. If I go to the casino, I see many people there also.

I have the feeling that Corona has made it all much busier, so I don't think it has lost its popularity. I started playing more myself.

If we are talking about online poker, after the big bang of the previous years, the popularity has some up and down. It is a stabilizing period. I don't think the game is loosing popularity!:joyman:

Poker isn’t losing it’s popularity, it just went underground, so only those that play knows where it’s at.

I gave myself the task of going through several game rooms, online, to have a perspective of what I believe, and I was shocked that I am in what is true ,,, great avalanche of new players, I played in several rooms to experience the quality of them ,,, excellent prospects of good players I found ,, I want to say that I am completely sure that poker is gaining ground on its way to being the most profitable game in the short term, so, I do not know if it is thanks to the pandemic that we live or that the great mass of youth ended up liking the beautiful game of poker like all of us, so friends to prepare better ... because the competition is getting tougher and of course pleasantly ... is what I do to this beautiful game the great variance in which we all experiment, for better or to get in trouble ..never pay to lose ,, patience, luck and perseverance ,,,

Possibly.

Although it has lost popularity, it has gained many followers in all this time and that is what keeps this beautiful game alive.
