Depends on how high. If the buy-in was my BR, no. If I had 10 buy-ins yes. Basically the bigger the edge the less BR you need to play a given level anyway, and if you only play for 1 buy-in it's just a shot. I'm playing 200nl now but I'd most likely play an extreme fish up to at least 1knl if not 2knl. Granted I'm over-rolled for 200nl by most standards.

But i mainly got killed on smaller 20-40bb pots where villain was just always at the top of their range and if they weren't they improved by river to be there. anyways yea this was my weekend. 8 buy ins down, basically no profit for the month and frankly never want to play another hand of this ****ing stupid game ever again. Was 6 buy ins below EV i think, but it is mainly the set ups and mainly in smaller pots where it was like it didn't matter how tight i played, how loose/wide their ranges were, i just never ever have the best hand.

EDIT: whoops accidently just posted alot of repeats (which i got rid of) isntead of new hands (i apparantly can't copy and paste) so there are like 5 more hands like this that i cannot be bothered refinding.

Then it happened, I get dealt 77 in the BB, one raises to 2.50, button calls, so do I. Flop comes J-7-2 rainbow - woohoo - trips, I bet $5, original raiser goes all in for $9 more, button just calls so do I. Turn is an Ace, I bet pot, button goes all in and I call for my last $20. River is another 2.

I have a full house 7-7-7-2-2 - button turns over JJ for a better boat. Original raiser has AK. I am still 22 fpp away from silver status, hope I get there before I am broke.

Made it back and then some tonight playing some 100nl HU, there are some real idiots that play that game . Playing in the CCCoHE ME tomorrow then got some work to do to finish up 2 projects by the end of the week and then finals are the next 2 weeks. Probably not much poker there.

it's so funny; when i had a roll of like $130 and was playing a random CC event, mischman brought up how two tabling 1/2 limit hold em and playing like a nit is a good way to make FPPs. i took half my roll, played for 3 days, made silverstar, and won $800. it was sort of a turning point in my poker career.
