Q: If you were the leader of your country, what would your policies be?
Q: Does modern life give us more freedom or less freedom than in the past?
Q: Would it ever be ethical to read someone’s mind or is that the only true form of privacy?
Q: If you knew that sacrificing your life would have a huge benefit to thousands of people, would you do it?
Q: Why do we do things in our dreams that we would never do when awake?

We really need questions that are specific to the guests or at least related to poker. :)

And what is poker if not a game of people? There is no substitute for knowledge of other people. I've noticed that they like deep questions. At least on the topic, says that you can submit just about anything you want to know about them.

I have been asked to pass that along to you - they struggle with those questions and they are awkward for the podcast host to ask so a lot of them have been skipped anyway.

We appreciate your participation but let's keep the questions primarily relative please. You are very creative - I am sure you can come up with some good ones. :)

For Andrew:
Q: Where has been your favorite spot to host a meet-up game
Q: How long did it take you to go from micro stakes to playing 10/20 and what advice would you give someone who wants to play at high stakes?
Q: How did you meet Brad Owen?
Q: Where us the one spot you want to travel to for a meet up game that you have never been to?

Was listening to the podcast for the last episode and i heard two questions that were read, one about hockey and another about bowling. I asked five questions and hoped that at least one would be read. None is irrelevance, even because only a few people participated in this interaction with the guest. Does it seem to me that there is no criterion for the choice of questions or am i wrong? Look, i want help from the VAR (Video Assistant Referee) so the referee can see again and evaluate this better for the next episodes. :icon_tong

So those were both my questions. You're right in the sense that they both were not poker related, however they were both specifically targeted at interests of Matt. I think that's all Debi is getting at - you can ask them whatever question you want but it has to relate to the guest in some way so they can formulate an answer. Matt was a bowler and is an avid hockey fan so both he can relate to specifically and gave great answers to both.

Read the above bolded text. Even if an occasional question is not directly related to the guest - if it is an easy question for most people to answer then it may get asked anyway.

Example of an unrelated question that might get asked:

"What is your favorite sport?"

Example of one that would not get asked:

"How do you hope you die?"

Those questions are very awkward and not comfortable for the host or the guest. At the end of the day - the host selects the questions that he wants to ask the guests. Yours have been way too awkward too often. So we have asked that you specifically ask relative questions - if you don't they are not likely to get used. If you want at least 1 of your questions to be asked you need to ask good questions that will be chosen. I don't choose them - but if I did I would rarely use one of yours based on what you have submitted so far. :)

So those were both my questions. You're right in the sense that they both were not poker related, however they were both specifically targeted at interests of Matt. I think that's all Debi is getting at - you can ask them whatever question you want but it has to relate to the guest in some way so they can formulate an answer. Exactly - they don't need to poker related and I never said that they did. But they do need to be relative to the guest - and/or great questions that are not uncomfortable for anyone to answer. Yours would good and relevant to the guest as well.

Going forward let's keep this thread for questions and guest announcements only - all other discussion should be done by private message.

For Ashley:
Q: How different is the game when you are playing on a table where your hole cards are being displayed versus one where only you know what you have?
Q: According to Hendon Mob you have 10 5 digit paydays with a couple of them wins. What has been your biggest poker moment of those paydays?
Q: You may have already answered this...but what was the big draw to become a member of the CardsChat family now?
Q: How did you meet Jesse?
Q: What has been the most awkward moment you have had at the poker table?

For Matt
Q: Your biggest live score in your career occurred this year at the Venetian DeepStack $1100 back in June. What changed in this tournament (besides winning it) versus other deep runs you had that contributed to your victory?
Q: What goals have you set for yourself in 2021?
Q: You are an active vlogger - what do you think is the biggest reason that you have become such a popular personality through your videos?
Q: What do you want CardsChat members to get out of your experience through the site?

What is the poker moment you are most proud of?
What does an average poker week look like for you?
Besides winning a tournament, what is the most exciting thing about being a poker player?
Can you share your most memorable poker moment with us?
What do you like to do most away from the poker room?
What would you be doing if you weren't a poker player?

Now these are great examples of general questions that can be asked of anyone - good job!

Question for Matt.

Do you find it more difficult to put together vlogs were you made a lot of mistakes and lost money than ones where you run good and win?

For Matt:

Who is your toughest opponent to date?

What is your very best poker-related moment?

Do you still enjoy vlogs as if it was your first?

Great

Looking forward to an informative podcast.
We just announced that we are starting a CardsChat podcast:

CardsChat is Launching a Podcast!

This thread is where you submit questions to ask Robbie, future guests, me and Tammy questions that we will answer during our weekly podcasts.

We will let you know in advance when we have a guest you can submit questions for.

Here are some ideas of questions you can submit that would be considered:

Robbie - can ask him about our podcast and what he plans on doing on it, questions about his experiences in the poker world, pros he has met and interviewed, industry news, etc

Debi and Tammy - can ask us questions about our experiences in poker, things going on in the forum, general questions related to CardsChat and/or our Social Media platforms, events, league, freerolls, etc - we are up for most anything!

Guests - you can submit questions about their experiences in poker, strategy questions, what they are currently involved in - and just about anything you want to know about them.

For Ali Nehad:

Do you think the road was harder for you to be a presenter because of your nationality?

Would you recommend being a presenter for someone who start in this path?

Do you enjoy most playing poker or present it?

Ali, how do you keep in good physical shape? Besides poker, what other sports do you play? How much time do you devote to sports?

Ali, do you have any pets? Dog or cat, what breed? Maybe something exotic?:)

Q: On Instagram you describe yourself as '' keen poker player , DTD toilet cleaner '' , hahahaha , why toilet cleaner ???
f23fa891a53af51abb49ec49b3698b0a.png
.

Q: You're a key partner for partypoker , any big news ?? sth big on schedule for Party for the following months that we are allowed to know ? :)

Q:When in your life did you realise that you have the ability/dynamic to run businesses very well ?? what events and who helped you become such a clever skilled successful businessman ?

Q:As a 10 years old kid you were selling , with your friend or alone , some items ( like Bric-a-Brac) to earn some money , and you have always been working since young to make your living . Was it very hard financially at the start of your life ??

Q:You say you're co-founder of coinrivet.com , what's it's purpose ?? It's just a cryptocurrency market news site or sth more ??
[My first thought was it's one more cryptocurrency site (ewallet , buy/sell crypto), but it doesn't seem to be such ]

e82f61ee587f91303a198b5d98d75723.png

Q:Was it hard to start DTD or did you have some help at the beginning ??

Q:Negreanu vs Doug Polker HU challenge , You lost $1M I think , Now do you think it was a good bet or not (in terms of odds and players' online history data) ? Were you carried away by supporting Negreanu ?
[ many pros such as Helmuth or Matusow bet in favor of Negreanu to beat Polk , but

Rob had this prop bet with +$700k advantageous head start for Negreanu , but Polk defeated Negreanu for $1.2M , so the diference $1.2M minus $700K , that's $0.5M , x2.5 (multiplier ) , was paid to the winner ]
