pretty early in the match but looks to be a sort of station
i think he shows up here with 1 pair type hands like always
and perfect spot to extract more value right, hes gonna put us on a bluff so many times

coz im a nit, readless i dont raise turn, always bet river though, since he would probably have stacked turn if he was ahead on the turn, so your only worried about q,9, 8,9, 99 and j,t i suppose

why dont u raise turn ?
its a pretty dry board, perfect spot to bloat pot and i did it earlier and check/folded river so it looks bluffy imo
plus he calls way too much so hes never letting go of top pair type hands, probably even an 8

im off to bed now, got a driving exam at 1:30 pm tomorrow so need 7 hours of sleep at least
would be nice to actually pass it now..

(i love minraises)

BB: $40.10 (80.2 bb)
Hero (BTN): $83.45 (166.9 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BTN with 4:spade: A:spade:
Hero raises to $1.50, BB calls $1

Flop: ($3) 7:club: K:spade: 5:spade: (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2, BB raises to $4, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($11) Q:spade: (2 players)
BB bets $7.50, Hero calls $7.50

River: ($26) 9:diamond: (2 players)
BB bets $10.50, Hero raises to $35, BB calls $16.60 and is all-in

Results: $80.20 pot ($0.50 rake)
Hero showed 4:spade: A:spade: (a flush, Ace high) and won $79.70 ($39.60 net)
BB mucked K:club: A:club: and lost (-$40.10 net)

i think raising turn here is probably good in general, gets value from a lot of hands, assuming that we can easily fold to a shove? most likely we can. it depends on the player type though, and if you think the guy might show up with a weird AQ/KQ or even pair+draw here and ship it in on us, but also shows up with lots of 2 pairs and the straight, then it sorta sucks because we're put in a bad spot if he pushes

so if i feel like i have a difficult decision when he shoves, i'm more likely to play it the nitty way and call. just make sure you've usually got a plan for what youre doing facing a raise any time you raise or bet. if youre not sure, thats often a sign that you might wanna just call or just check behind or whatever the situation is. helps avoid marginal decisions which is where we all make most of our mistakes, and mistakes are tilting

if he ships it on turn im almost always folding
but i dont see him showing up with a straight here very often
i mean on the turn only 56 got there and im having a hard time believing he would donk that

i think most of the time hes got a one pair hand here, most likely top pair since he has a tendency to check call mid and lower pairs from what i saw

and by the river its really hard to believe he can still have JT, so im only worried about semi-slow played two pair hands and i think the value i get from betting and getting a call from worse far outweighs the times he has me beat

I'm very good about not being results oriented and schtuff. But TT hates me.

I've had it 9 times in the last three days in FLHE (2300 hands in .5/1). One with it once when it was folded around to me in the bb.

It is limit though, so I guess that's bound to happen in a small sample.

LHE is hella rogged. If you're gonna play a min-raise game, play something with 5 betting rounds, split pots, or no board cards.

qft

at least it wasnt 100nl eh WV :)

I actually turned on chat and started to type something about how he was the luckiest drooler to walk the Earth but erased it and just typed "nice, Aces again. fu FTP".

The only reason it wasn't at 100nl is because I suck so that's no consolation there waffleman.

Congrats on the license. Drive safely!
