So, how do you think artificial intelligence will impact the future of poker? Or has it already impacted poker?
I believe that AI is already present in some way at online poker tables, but in my opinion it will be even more present in the future, especially in terms of security.

However, AI has become a great ally for security on the web. This is because it can be used to recognize suspicious behavior in online poker, such as cheating, collusion and irregular betting.

The toothpaste is already out of the tube on the AI era.
With the technology that we already have, it is mindboggling to wonder what the future holds.
It is going to affect everything that we live with and poker will be a part of that.
AI systems will have an IQ rating and who can afford the systems with the highest IQ ratings will rule.
It will be worse than the Tulip Bulb frenzy during the Dutch Golden Age.
This goes back to the greater fool theory-the willingness to buy an asset not because of it's fundamental value but because of the belief that someone else is likely to pay an even higher price than you did.
The smarter that AI becomes will drive the prices higher and higher until the bubble bursts and then what happens is anyone's guess.

AI will be available for you to use live and real time while playing poker and how it's going to change the game will be to a purely mathematical and technical game instead of the human element with feelings that we have today.

In my opinion, AI is actually a modernized set of programs that have been combined into one and it will not be able to influence the future of online poker and if some player enters a tournament with AI, then the poker room will immediately identify him and ban him.

Online poker is now officially 'fixed' , and I don't mean from the software the poker sites use to shuffle + deal .

It's pretty disappointing that pokersites haven't used AI to improve their graphics especially the table display.

it feels like we're stuck in 2010 or something

In our online and offline world, you will likely have discovered that Artificial Intelligence is everywhere!

So, how do you think artificial intelligence will impact the future of poker? Or has it already impacted poker?

Please share your thoughts!

In my opinion, artificial intelligence is another scientific breakthrough that can be compared to the creation of the Internet in terms of its impressive significance. It is definitely a technology that will significantly simplify many business processes, improve the level of service and the speed of interaction with customers. I think that artificial intelligence itself is not particularly valuable, but in interaction with people, with experts in their field, it can be an extremely valuable resource.

I am a pessimist with any new technology when it is initially introduced. People start out using it to take advantage of other people , cheat , steal etc. Then laws and rules are made to correct and stop the cheating and other bad behavour and eventually things settle out. Usually takes years. So I think its first impact on poker will be negative followed by rules to reign it in and then equilibrium.

AI enables large-scale data analysis and probabilistic research in poker. This leads to the discovery of new strategies and tactics in the game. Researchers can also use AI to create bots and virtual opponents to learn how to best adapt strategies.

I wonder how does AI bluff?
very interesting question
probably in the long run with statistics and a base of hands the AI will play in +, but in the moment in difficult hands it will lose

Poker remains a game of adaptation. The AI can be very strong in the sense of not making mistakes, and the human being too.

I think if humans don't make mistakes, they can adapt and exploit AI.

The poker bots are already hard to beat! With AI they will beat 98% of players. So players will most likely build and play bots in the future.

Unfortunately I have to agree and I fear that the poker rooms won`t be fully able to prevent bots from playing instead of humans - so enjoy playing Replay with Cardschat, it is real poker :)

I would like to say that AI will have a positive impact in online poker but unfortunately I don't think it will happen.
We, as human players, will have to play against AI without being aware of what they really are.
And I am not sure it is fair. Moreover it will increase the number of players and guess who will be the final winners ? The poker rooms since it will generate a lot of rake.

AI will turn Poker into a kind of Big Brother where people sit comfortably and watch their AI play Poker for them.
I find this future a little frustrating, and to some extent it is already happening.

Perhaps the meta game would change, there will be new strategies, etc. Before solvers, poker was different, now many study poker with solvers, and these programs tell you when to bet and when not, what size to use, etc. With artificial intelligence they may open up new ways of studying strategies.

AI has already had a massive impact on poker, and it’s only getting bigger! Tools like solvers and training software have completely changed how players study the game, giving us ways to analyze hands and refine our strategies like never before. But it’s not all rainbows—AI has also led to the rise of poker bots, especially online, which has made fair play a real challenge for platforms.

And let’s not forget, AI hasn’t just helped us learn the game—it’s straight-up beat us at it! Remember Libratus and Pluribus? These AIs didn’t just play—they crushed top pros in both heads-up and multiplayer no-limit Texas Hold’em. Pluribus even mastered the chaos of multi-player games, showing just how far AI has come in handling bluffing, incomplete info, and strategy.

Looking ahead, AI is going to keep shaping poker, pushing strategies further and forcing us all to adapt. But it’s up to us as players and platforms to make sure it doesn’t take the fun and fairness out of the game we all love!

For now, Ai is good at computing lots of data and giving it to the human factor summarised.
It's not that good in navigating real life situations. And i'd like to keep it that way

It will certainly be difficult for many players to play online poker.
Since it will require resources to match the rest. And not everyone has the same budget.

In my opinion nowadays AI is getting bigger and bigger everywhere but i hope the impact of AI can not ruin online poker. A poker pro should always find away to beat a bot in our beloved game, for amateurs it can be a tricky challenge to play against an intelligent and adapting bot.
It would be a surprise for me if there arent some bots out there who playing poker against humans on not trusted poker platforms!

I think that artificial intelligence will never surpass a simple living person. Whatever name it is given, it will still be a program that works in accordance with certain algorithms. Unconditionally, artificial intelligence will simplify life and work in many areas, but it will not replace a living person. Today, I think this has not affected the poker sphere, but I think the time will come when this development will affect our beloved poker. To be honest, I can’t even imagine what it will look like, and how exactly artificial intelligence can be applied in online or offline poker, I think we can just continue to live and watch everything that happens. I think that people who are developing such technologies, they themselves do not know the end result of their work, they just do their job every day, and the result will be visible over time.

A.I. well myself i think that it is still a program that people put in a computer probably someone smarter than me but still people, and from what i hear, read and see sometimes it all fails. Like they always say there will always be someone better, smarter, faster stronger than me or you. Till than all we can do is carry on ;).

Sure! AI is making poker better by:
  1. Helping players improve with training tools.
  2. Keeping games fair by detecting cheats
  3. Analyzing player behavior to give insights.
  4. Evolving game strategies and formats.

The impact of AI on poker is very bad imo , especially to recreational players who want to play and gamble for fun . AI has made it very difficult to win on the long run if you don't use advanced programs and tools . Players' decisions online are made by bots and advanced programs and AI helpers and solvers . Poker rooms so nothing to deal with this in an effective way . I guess nowadays online poker is for pros and regs only .

Without a doubt, artificial intelligence has already influenced the game of poker, and everything else, and its role will constantly grow, it cannot be stopped. Perhaps soon we will live like in some kind of fantasy film, the main thing is not to be like in Terminator.
