let's know how much have you lost in poker so far.
I have been playing for more than 12 years and I lost money only in the first year of playing. Then, the following years were already profitable.

I've only lost time 😅
I started from zero, so technically nothing. I was able to withdraw and use some, +1.5K I'd say.
I'm still not satisfied with the $/time rate, but that's why I play only if I have nothing else to do that day. Meanwhile I keep studying.

Poker brings me an income. Over the past two or three years, I've bought quite a few cool things, mostly appliances, thanks to playing poker. I bought a powerful PC, a large monitor, two phones, a 65-inch TV, and some other household appliances. In general, I haven't kept track of the total, but over the past 3 years I've won at least 3-4 thousand.

I'm up not down for sure, but had to invest a lot of time in studying and practicing...

Obviously that is a far more valuable commodity than money, so that is something to be very aware and careful of...

However, learning and improving in poker has also taught me a lot about life and myself along the way.

Coupled with the experiences, fun and friends I've made (not to mention future profits and ambitions)- I'm very happy with my overall R.O.I. and excited about what could be waiting for me yet. :giggle:

Oh, and of course using freerolls to generate bankroll is a relatively foolproof way to not spiral into heavy losses..! ;)

I don't like to think about it, but I keep seeing the website tell me to make my first post in the forums!

I played online for a long time before I even knew anything about the game, I've lost too much. Now that I'm decent, I'm making it back.

Fortunately, poker has cost me nothing in my life so far. After the first payments, I always take them out of the rooms.

Time
i lost time
Oh yes. Have lost lots of time, not money. That's why spoortsbetting in the past has helped me. Earn side money while not missing out much on time. Spend about 12 minutes per sportsbet deciding whoxh sidw of bet to take vs. 3 to 3.5 hours to be in the money at an online tournament.

I mostly play freerolls and that's why I don't use my poker money. If I play somewhere with a deposit for real money, it's definitely a plus. But I don't do that very often.

Most valuable thing I've lost has been "time", but I certainly enjoyed the entertainment and friendships made. :)

Nowadays I invest around $40 per month, when the bankroll doesn't yield results.. I usually make deposits of my own money on some sites to receive tickets for depositors of the week, or deposit promotions,..

Lost something more valuable than money, my hair. It seems to be falling out with every bad beat.

I would say around 40 dollars, since when I started, I played cash games without much knowledge or experience. But, well, losing is part of learning. Now I consider myself a winning player at lower stakes.

A lot of money. I don't count anymore. There is money from my own capital and there is also money I won and played again and lost. But in general I am happy playing poker. Losing is part of the game.

At first I deposited 100 dollars maybe, but now I play and lose everything I earned in freerolls.

Hi :)
I lost hundreds of times less than I won. Thanks to the CardsChat community, poker has been bringing me profit for many years :)

I'm profitable at poker by adopting the following strategy: I play several freerolls a day and what I win I convert into tickets to play bigger tournaments and make banrolls on different sites... I've been playing for years and spent nothing... with this I'm improving every time day.

I didn't lost any money, in fact I made some thousands of dollars over the years I play poker.
Anyways, if I spent the time working in anything, instead of playing in my free time, I think I could won more money. But poker for me is not a work, it's leisure.
