In my opinon , luck is not as nearly important as skill !

You might get bad beats , cooldowns and such ,we all do . But if your skill is above average , and looking to imrove it continuosly , you wont get disscuraged when you find yourself in those spots . We all have our good and bad days , just keep your chin up , look at it as a card game where he/she/they got lucky and move on . Also whats important in all this is your bankroll managment ! Without it , you're the one trying to get lucky .

So basically , luck wins on short runs , skill wins on the long run ;)

How much do you think luck matters in poker? For me i seem to be pretty unlucky. I had a pretty good run for a little while in cash games but lately it doesn't matter howw well i play, i seem to have the worst luck. I believe if you are very unlucky you have much less of a chance to be a winning poker player.

Luck only influences you in the short term.

If in fact you have a good game, in the long run you will make a profit!

The longer I play the more I clearly see the role luck plays.

I happen to have had a good month in terms of results and it has been rewarding. But, I do not kid myself it is down to my play. Yes, I have 'x' amount of experience and I regularly study to a degree - I play fundamentally sound poker most of the time. That said there is nothing I have radically changed in my game

Across a few sites my results from the last 6 weeks or so have matched the previous ten months in some metrics. I have been running well. I just prefer to be honest...if you chalk a down turn to 'run bad' then you should chalk an upturn to 'run good'. I believe my game is incrementally improving but I do not pretend this last month is anything but a very nice span of luck, getting cards and they have been holding.

In my opinion, luck in poker is of great importance. I would like to be very lucky, but I never won anything just like that, everything was done with great difficulty.

In poker there will always be a percentage of luck, but a study conducted at the University of germany tells us that poker is 50% luck in the short term, but in the long term the skill ends up surpassing the luck, that gives us a conclusion that with study, practice and perseverance in what you do the results will come by themselves, so it is not surprising that great players continue to play for years and always in force in the game, so we must always think in the long term and not despair when we have a bad day or a bad week.

Success in poker does not depend entirely on luck. To a large extent, it depends on your ability to painstakingly work on the game.

There is a grain of truth in your thinking.

Always looked at luck as two way street. Sometimes it is in your favor and others not. Part of the skill is not hurting yourself when it is not.

Luck can go either way, but it can have more weighting depending on the game you're playing.

I think luck is 50% and the other 50% is gameplay. I have as a reference the distance to reach the mtt tournaments.

Downswings and upswings are part of the poker variation. At these times the best thing to do is to lower your betting limits and tournament buyins so that you lose as little money as possible.
Of course, luck plays a very important role, but no matter what, I still believe that our patience and discipline will always be more important. Therefore, be patient and disciplined, it will also increase your luck.

Everyone experiences bad beat losing streaks. It's part of the game. Trick is to have a big enough stake to get through them and grind your money back. I currently play with a 300:1 stake to buy in ration. Played with a 50:1 ratio for a long time while building my stake and progressing to bigger games and once I reached the highest buy in, $50 for the game I play, I built it up to $15,000 from there. I've experienced many losing streaks and have never come close to losing my stake.

poker has many combinations and luck comes only when several players go all in, you don't need to risk much and luck smiles too

When you think that the opponents have too much luck and it doesn't come to you 🤔 you have to ask yourself many questions, the first one is yours: how are they so lucky?. Don't take everything into account, be careful to you keep getting better until they run out of luck.,,A good game is not luck"

In the short run luck is very important, but in the long run, you will need skills to have success playing poker.

Luck in poker is important, more skill is even more so, everyone has their luck percentage in the game, sooner or later it comes to everyone, but play with your skills, your knowledge, your strategies.
