Most hold-em now. Earlier I played much Omaha HL and Courchevel HL. For me hold-em is most easy to play, because there is only highest hand win.

Currently I've only been playing Holde'n and Omaha. But I plan to learn these other variants soon.

I used to play a lot of 7 card stud since that's what I was taught as a kid. Well that and 5 card draw. It was probably '99 or '00 before I learned Hold Em but these days I strictly play NLHE and every once in a blue moon I'll play some PLO just for fun.

Oh yeah, dramaha variants, too.

We usually get a small buyin table going late afternoon California time and play. Friendly game and usually the table is just us. If anyone is interested in playing/learning some in a non win at all cost setting, happy to extend an invite.

I play almost all of them, but most are difficult to find, and this is why poker stars will ALWAYS be the best online site, and its not even close... because they offer the most games BY FAR.

But even Poker Stars is not perfect... they used to offer 10-Game back in the day, however, at some point in the past decade, after we Americans were banned from playing there by our own damn government, Stars decided to reduce their 10-Game to 8-Game.

And when they did so, they removed my absolute favorite variants... today, the 8-Game no longer has a round of Badugi, nor does it have a round of No Limit 2-7 Lowball Single Draw. 8-Game is still fun of course, but 10-Game was THE NUTS. And its gone for good, apparently. By the time we Americans were allowed back onto the play money side of Stars around 2015, only 8-Game could be found.

And by the way, Badugi is the easiest "oddball" variant of poker... its a 4-card lowball game, with 3 draws (so there are 4 betting rounds), and the nut hand is A234, straights don't count, but pairs do count and pairing up is no good... but the really unique feature of Badugi is that a "Badugi" consists of 4 cards where each card must be a different suit. If you have 3 suits (meaning one of your cards is a duplicate suit of another), that is called a 3-card badugi and it can still win at showdown over a higher 3-card badugi. I love this game, but it is very hard to find, only Stars runs it (that I know of anyway).

Kings and Crash has lots of mixed games, more than any other site. SWC has them but almost no traffic

Thanks for the recommends, but yeah that's the problem - almost no traffic. For example, I have never heard of the Kings and Crash site, and while I have heard of SWC (the old Seals With Coins site), I have never once tried to create an account there. I'm a play chip pro on Poker Stars (that's my little inside joke poking fun at the stupidity of Black Friday), and that keeps me happy enough. I don't do bitcoin, and if I recall, SWC is a bitcoin-only site... so I just remain on Stars with the play chips.

Due to all the insane regulations and laws around the world against the pure evil of online poker, Apps and private clubs have opened up and thrive. As an example, on Crash we have a $200/400 mixed game. Sometimes three tables running with waitlists. There are also lots of PLO tables and OFC games.

Look at the apps. They've grown to huge popularity. The $1K buyin MTTs get 200 runners. There are maybe a dozen apps currently. It makes people nervous at first bit my guess is I now have 90% of my volume on apps and private clubs. I do not miss playing on the big networks at all at this point. I know a newer App will have some lowball mixed games.

If you ever feel like joining a friendly group, let me know. Badugi variants and dramaha are my favorite but we often get a "crazy mix" table running and that has 13 games or more.

I prefer Texas Holdem. I think it has less variance!

I've only really played Texas Holdem. It's the poker variant that I've always played and feel it's easier to get to grips with than any others.

That said, I'm not adverse to trying other variants, I just haven't gotten around to it yet :)
