This has a lot to do with each person's individual situation.

If you're a winning player you can play as much as you want, as long as it doesn't interfere with other real life commitments. If you're a losing player I would recommend you treat it like a hobby and only dedicate free time and money you have set aside for entertainment and when that is gone it's time to be done for the day.

As long as you're meeting all your other real world commitments I think for the most part play as much as you want. Just make sure playing never jeopardises anything of real world importance.

I usually play depending on my work schedule,... since I work 12 hours a day, and on my days off, if I play almost all day.
For me, I don't play over 5hour straight, I like to play at different time of the day, maybe 3hour in the morning, another 3/4 in the afternoon and a tackle some 3/4 hour tournaments during the night

At least 10 hours to play in each day of the weeknd, and 3 to 4 hours to play during the week

For now I still don't dedicate myself entirely to poker, I play in my spare time for 3 to 5 hours.

I think it's better to play as much as your free time, your good mood, your mental and physical condition allows. I think everyone has their own conditions, but in general I can say for sure that in no case should you force yourself to play if you don't have the mood or desire to do so.

I think it's bad to play every day, you have to spend time with family and friends.

Probably the schedule of the game is individual, everyone should choose a convenient and comfortable period of time for themselves to play, the main thing is that there would be weekends, rest is always needed.

Depends on what you do with poker for.
If it's work, then a lot, but with days off. If it's a hobby, then whenever))

Hi :)
I play poker for about 5 hours a day. I used to play less, but now it seems my life has more or less stabilised and I have more time to play.

I think it doesn't have a correct answer, it's different for each person. I can play 2-3 hours (maybe 4 hours) without feeling tired, but more than that I know that I don't play my 100% anymore.

Depends on the player's goal. If a person plays poker professionally and makes a living from it, then I think it is necessary to play a minimum of 8 hours a day, and more is possible - it will only be better for the player, he will gain more experience, play a longer distance. At the same time, there should be 1-2 days off a week, in general, like at work). Well, if a person plays poker for fun and does not set a goal to do it professionally, then you can play when you have free time and desire. I had periods when I played hard for about 3-4 weeks, almost every day 4 tables in cash at micro limits. Time flies by unnoticed, when I won, I got a lot of pleasure from the time spent and from the result, but when I lost, then the goal was to win back, I waited for the right moment to get my money back. My maximum session in online poker was about 12 hours, and in live poker it was about the same.

Depends on how many high focus hours I have available left over after living life. I'm not trying to gamble when I'm not feeling sharp!

Recommended for what? If you want to be a professional poker player or if you just want to make a living from it without any other work.
With your 12-hour workday, there's not much time left, not just for poker, but for anything in general. Poker requires time on a daily basis if you don't want to get fall out from the line.

Depends on what format you are playing. You could play high limit cash and win a couple of hands and be done for the day. If you play a MTT then you are locked into the bitter end and if you are lucky enough to reach the final table and heads up.

I recommend play to poker every day at least 2-3 tournaments in the evening when you have free time. If you are working somewhere, a few tournaments outside of work hours will help you distract yourself and maybe even get some positive emotions. :sneaky:

I think it all depends on your goals. If your goal is to have fun, then I think 2-3 hours of play is enough. If your goal is to develop and improve your skills, then I think you need to play 5-8 hours a day. If your goal is to work hard and make money, then I think it's likely that you will work 8-10 hours a day.

Personally, I believe that there is no such thing as a "recommended time for poker" - play boldly while you can confidently demonstrate at least a stable Tier "B" game, as soon as the quality of your decisions starts to deteriorate, you should immediately stop
