I think it gets him a lot of publicity either way, although it might have been as a huge donkey if Ivey had called and won. It'll probably earn him more money in cash games in the future when he has a set and people know he's capable of a big bluff. Just in the context of that hand I think it's -EV though.Just watched the latest episode on YouTube. What did you guys think of Booth's move on Ivey with 42s? Did you think that was quality or suicide? I'm still trying to decide myself, but leaning more towards suicide at this point.
it is fun to watch for real money each hand, but the production value of the show is just terrible. It just looks cheap and corny. It's fascinating to me how one poker program (ESPN) can be so much more exciting than another (High Stakes Poker) through simple style of editing.
