mainly when it comes to games in general
and then poker is not even mentioned I think 60% of the game in poker can be based on luck

Not sure you can, I have never had luck, so if there is a way of getting luck I would really like to know. I think Lee Trevino said it best after a fan said lucky putt, "The more I practise the luckier I get". That is true of any sport including poker, practise practise and what seems like luck will actually be skill.

I do not believe. I believe the rating is related to the mathematical probabilities possible on a certain thing. The concept of luck goes a lot towards this mathematical side, which I believe I believe in. Flip heads and tails 10 infinite times and beat me, flip and let's tie.

Of course, sometimes you make a hand when you shouldn't and that is luck. When you shove preflop KK and beat AA hitting KKK that is luck. Poker is not a certainty and a game of incomplete information. Luck is definitely an element.

I think luck does exist, but not as an entity, but as a consequence of "choice". When there are different results for one event, luck does exist. While in quantum physics, it is know that a system isn't determined before mesuring it, as all the possible ways exist at the same time, until we measure them. I certainly believe in luck unless the odds are stacked against you. I have always been lucky. Example: I do not expect to be lucky if I go all in with a pair of duces because the odds are stacked against me which most poker players already know.

You'd best believe there's luck in poker. You don't always need it but you can say you need to get lucky to not have another player get lucky against you.... and what defines lucky
... it's lucky to catch set over set and be the higher set. Or straight flush ect. Playing by math is huge but there's luck and you need it to make deep runs in tournaments or pile chips in a cash game
