i would imagine the 2 together could be fatal to your bankroll!

Not really. Not as much as alcohol.

I've blown whole rolls in the past, while drunk.

With cannabis I don't want to risk much of my BR at all. I want to play a CC freeroll, or a $5 MTT or something "safe." The reason is because of the mindset. I'm trying to have fun. I'm not trying to win a fortune. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Crap, what do I do if I win a fortune?!?!?! :p

Since starting back up in February, I've grown my BR from $0 - $675.

I mention this because I have been "on" cannabis for about 90% of this time.

I view cannabis much like Kat Williams does, "It's a plant!"

Tobacco is also a plant, so are coca and poppy. Smoking cannabis increases your risk of developing COPD and Emphysema at least as much as smoking cigarettes.

Nicotine, THC, alcohol, heroin, cocaine, amphetamine, LSD etc are all drugs. Some are legal, others are not.

Legal drugs are not less harmful or damaging to your health than illegal ones. The only difference is they are easier to obtain and less risky to use from a legal standpoint.

Your bankroll is increasing because you are gaining experience and becoming a better player, not because of cannabis. You are using cannabis because you enjoy how it makes you feel on the expense of some potential health issues down the road. That's life in general, things that make us feel good are not good for us :)

I may use cannabis if I'm having a stressful time but i dont regularly smoke if I'm playing poker. I am totally for cannabis though. It is so much less harmful than cigarettes and alcohol.

Hi everyone!! Currently, the world society is suffering a resounding canon with respect to the point of view on cannabis, fortunately, since several scientific studies demonstrate the effectiveness it has to treat various disorders and diseases. If we put aside recreational use and focus directly on its benefits, we can see that the CBD helps to calm the nose and reduce stress, many conditions that can cause us the game of poker or life itself. When we try to do our best game, it is essential that our brain is neat and in its best form to give the best of us. I am a consumer and thanks to cannabis many of my problems have disappeared, such as anxiety and difficulty to stop consuming so much alcohol, I do not consider myself addicted to alcohol, but it is a problem in life and more than anything in poker . I would like to know the vision that the world has about cannabis and the relationship with poker.
In our country, it is a narcotic drug, and therefore prohibited for use!:icon_flow

Adding another drug to your arsenal is not the way do deal with an alcohol problem.

The marijuana strains grown for consumer use, both legally and illegally have a very small CBD to THC ratio, because they have been grown over the years selecting for increased THC which is the substance that makes people high, and is what recreational consumers are looking for.
The original wild marijuana plant contained more CBD than THC, but that strain had been lost.

The CBD benefits claimed by you (reduced stress and anxiety, opening up your upper airways, improved sleep and appetite) could all be more effectively achieved by physical exercise. Unfortunately, marijuana users tend to exercise less.
Yes, there's evidence that CBD helps certain individuals with intractable seizures, but that is hardly a reason for anyone to smoke THC :)

It's a dangerous game to try sugar coating drug use under some unproven health benefit claims. With the cannabis use now becoming legal in more and more countries, unfortunately there will be more and more promotion like that going on in the media. Where there's money there's advertising.

PS: I am not trying to be a party pooper here, just saying these things as an attempt to highlight the other side of the story and keep the thread balanced, after all this is an open forum, not a drug forum :)
We are adults and make our own choices in life, some are good and some are not. That's human nature :)

My take on this - and I know a lot about Cannabis use and people who use it - is this:

Some people get very introspective and instinctively creative, and all of a sudden reading an opponent is like second nature. But some people just wanna have fun... and, really, isnt it fun to bluff all in on a EP tight raiser with 3 9o?

I am a musician. There are musicians who play stoned and insist their playing is better. We have a saying: "The tape doesn't lie". (OK, these days its the "Hard Disk Recording" doesn't lie....). Some players think they actually get more inspired when they are high. When you listen to a recording the next day, you KNOW if it is good or not. And some of those players, yep, they friggin rock so much when they get a buzz. And others, they suck. So it will.... "ahem".... depend.....

But, if you know yourself, it can be a great enhancement, IMHO. But if you are wrong in your assessment of yourself, well, that 3 9o can look soooooo inviting.............

That's what I think

I don't smoke marijuana, but I think poker is entertainment, and marijuana enjoyable, so I could just as easily join each other for a good time.
As long as it is conscious, all excesses are bad. :)

I am not a fan of drug
And I have not been a daily user of it and I am fine.
I feel fruits and whole foods does more for you than a quick getaway drug.
