I prefer to win small pots regularly because if I do that the big pots will also come from time to time when I have the nuts. On the other hand, if I just wait for the big pots to come I will probably miss out on a lot of small pots that would have kept me in balance.

It depends on what games you are playing.
You can win big pots by making large bets (including pushing all-in), but you can also lose (especially in tournaments where you can be eliminated). It is much safer playing for small pots either in cash games or tournaments.
By playing in fast-fold cash games, you can be more selective with your starting hands and possibly win both small and big pots, since you will be playing more hands. I like this approach.

I enjoy winning big pots more but I think my goal depends on the game and the type of players I am playing. If I am playing against tighter players, I would prefer to be winning a lot of small pots but if I am playing against loose aggressive players, I would prefer to be winning less pots but the ones I win should be big ones.

Depends on the type of game, if it's a cash game, then you'll have to play a different way and try to win consistent pots(small).
But if it's a tournament, then you want to double/triple up because there is that race in mind and you also have a rebuy opportunit.

I'm happy to win any pot.

But usually on freerolls you want to win a big pot because the blinds going up fast and you become poor fast.

If you win a lot of small pots, that together will be around 20 blinds in 15 minutes it will be around 5 blinds. Better then nothing but not the best.

Also a thing that if you play with a good players it's harder to make them pay unless they have a good hand. So usually I'm extremely happy to find a person that just gifting me a stack and then I can again sit and wait for a good cards to play and don't be nerves that soon I'm gonna be short.

(Actually I work now on my problem of worrying to much about being a short because it also makes me doing to much mistakes and loose good concentration )

I prefer to win small pots consistently. I don't know how to navigate big pots properly so small pot wins are the way.

Big hands, big possibilities, big pots.

Medium hands, for the most part, the possibilities are limited, so we apply pot control and try to balance between big and small pots.

Mediocre hands, for the most part, the possibilities are limited, so we keep the pot small enough.

We also have other variables to consider at the time. But we should value winning pots as much as possible and know (accept) that not every hand is possible to win! lol

One plays the hands dealt in the situations of the moment. Would prefer to win small pots occasionally to build stack & ICM. Tho if the situation presents itself, go big or go home! :)

Of course I would prefer winning big pots consistently :) but I think it's not really possible even if you a pro player. I have nothing against winning big pots occasionally instead of small pots but more consistently. I think it's more profitable especially if you are deep in the tournament

You can win with weak hands big pots and lose with strong hands big pots.Prefer to win big pots and risk if I have a large stack in SB or BB positions with hands of type 8-8/9-9/10-10/J-J.

While winning big pots feel great, it is the small ones we need the most. I prefer the smaller one more often than the big one to safely grow my stack.

I think that in Poker, we don't have to think about what we like or what we don't like. What we have to think about is the following: if you have a very strong hand, then you're going to play a big pot. If you have an average hand, then you're going to play a medium pot. If you have a weak hand, then you're going to play a small pot. That's the recipe for success in Poker.

It doesn't matter for me, because there is a positive result in both cases . But if you set the highest goals in the tournament, you can't win without big pots.
