Hey all,

Quick update, Ive finally had my reply from pacific i'll post it below and also what i sent please let me know if it was unclear as to what i was telling them because they seemed to have no clue.

Cheers

Dear Daryl,

Thank you for contacting 888.

Daryl, I am sorry to learn that you have been forced to pay the big
blind twice in a tournament. This is unfortunate, but it can happen.
To ensure parity during a tournament we will move people from different
tables to ensure that there is an even number of players strewn across
the remaining tables. This process is done entirely at random and can
happen to anyone. Once moved, it may be that one has to pay the blinds
again - unfortunate, but it can happen.

I do understand that it can be annoying when this happens, especially
when one is moved to a table that seems to be hosting all of the players
with the big stacks - hard to bluff someone out of a pot in that
situation. However, I am sure you can appreciate the fact that whilst
this rule is in place one can also benefit from it greatly - it may be
that you are moved from table to table and never once pay the big blind.
You may get moved to a table where the players are looser and have
smaller chip piles...

I do thank you for your e-mail. We have considered various ways in
which we can change this process but have decided to keep the current
system in place as it seems to be the fairest way of distributing
players and keeping the tables sizes level.

On behalf of everyone here at 888, I wish you the very best of luck.

Kind regards,
Amanda G.

Hello there.

Iam writing to let you know of a slight error with your poker software.

Whilst playing an 888 Express Sit N Go yesterday i was given the big
blind twice in a row on the same table.

Even though this was in the ealry stages of the sit and go i still felt
i was given a slightly unfair disadvantage and had this been towards the
end with the blinds being higher then it would have been a whole lot
worse.

Im not sure how you go about checking that im not telling tales but its
all in my game history.

The ID next to the tournement in my game history is 19064318 and the
hands it happend on are 242373407 and 242373475.

Thankyou

Daryl

Good answer from them....To bad it had nothing to do with your question, problem and situation. They just explained how they justify 2 BB's when you move tables. They did not mention the fact that you are on same table and/or acknowledge any error...BoneHeads!!!

You may choose to leave the site regardless, but I would still follow up to ENSURE that they understand the issue.

I have just emailed them back stating even more clearly that i was still at the same table when i recieved the BB twice in a row and even included pictures.

I guess they didnt look at my hand history (i guess they can) after i gave them the exact numbers of them.

I'll wait another week for my reply now.

Cheers

Wow - support FTW!

I suppose they probably get wads of complaints every day from someone who paid their big blind on one table only to be moved straight into the big blind on another table, and this is the generic response they give to all of those e-mails, but they've clearly missed the point here :p

I had the exact same thing happen to me on pacific poker a few months ago. Sent a similar email to support, got a similar answer, and decided the leave the site forever.

Anyway, besides the software being buggy and support pathetic, you can't really play poker there. Blinds go up so fast in their SNGs that it's more of a lottery than anything else.

The only good thing about them is that they have an instant signup bonus which I could cash out even though I don't think I had completed the required amount of wagers for it. Go figure...
