Don’t bet more than you can afford to lose, be very patient when playing in the sense that you shouldn’t feel like you have to play certain hands because the chip leader is way ahead or you’re low on chips just relax and strike when the time is right (there is no need to play each hand like it’s your last just for the sake of trying to gain chips) being patient is vital and will pay off, I’ve seen in some games with a 5k starting stack someone went as low as 500 chips and then they timed things right and within three hands they have over 10k chips it was an incredible come back and I’ve seen similar things numerous times, from time to time you will get bad beats but being patient will pay off long term, besides all that the most important thing is to have fun, if it’s no longer fun take a break

This is from the movie “Rounders” of 1998. This phrase is a good advice, but the movie is a horrible example of how to play poker.
The main character played by Matt Damon uses his $ 30 grand that was committed to pay his college tuition and decides to go for a non regulated poker club and loses everything he had! Yeah, he’s got coolered by the character played by John Malkovich, and he got a full-house...
Is there a worst example than this one? Risking everything you have and letting the money of your bills aside to gamble?
