MY COMPUTER IS WORKING AGAIN.
One of my four memory modules had decided to retire which was making it crash violently and unpredictably, including often during boot-up. Now I finally managed to isolate which one it was, run a gazillion tests on it and the other three individually to make sure it wasn't the motherboard that was busted (i.e. faulty bus) and the tests were very conclusive.
Four days without poker. Tomorrow, I shall begin to make up for it. Stupid computers. And apparently I need to fix something that's broken with PostgreSQL in the meantime as well, and probably have to reinstall. I hope my HEM database isn't broken. It would suck to have to reimport all those hands.

Gahhhhhhhh. Need to recreate HEM database. Good news is I have a backup. Bad news is it's from April.

Yeah, the biggest problem with that is determining that it actually IS the motherboard that's screwed up, because you don't want to get a new MB and then find out that it was the CPU, or vice versa. Memories, fortunately, are testable. And if something HAD to be faulty, then I'm glad it was the RAM. I can easily run everything I want on 6GB instead of 8GB, so no need to wait for new parts.

Yeah i tested the RAM back then too, but was sad when they turned out fine
i only have 2 gig i think and i dont seem to have any trouble running anything, since i quit playing the latest high end video games my pc doesnt need to be that high end anymore anyway

I have not played many cash games at all do you think this a chance to learn it and really study the fundementals of poker or since I cannot depost for a while do I try build it back up first through sng?

The rake on the micro sit and go's i believe is a killer, and very difficult to overcome. At least playing nl$2 a lot of the pots are not raked, + there are lots of spew tards, just play like a nit for a few weeks and build up a bit.

Thank you guys I guess I will nit it up and do some studying, playing sngs for so long and mainly for lowstakes it was a bit robotic so I guess I will actually have to learn to play properly now sigh. I will start playing tonight and see how it goes must not play sngs I know I can slowly make profits there but I think your advice tenbonb and enty is the best.

well gambit was in a film, just not in the first 3, he was in origins
and yeah FR is still plenty "robotic" if you will, just play a straightforward valuebased game, no real need to run big bluffs at these low limits, aside from cbetting and occasionally barreling but those arent really big bluffs.
also, im pretty sure you can selfban yourself from either cash or sngs/mtts on both tilt and stars, its under the same option as tempbanning you for a day/week etc
