Still playing mostly tourneys, I start TAG, actually I start in stop. I try not to play any hand before the 3rd level. AA is hard to pass up on though. As the table tames itself down, I start opening up. If sucessful, with a bigger stack I get a bit LAG. If I get a really big stack, I get maniac for a round or till I have donked off too many chips. Then I jam it back into stop, till I untilt. Then I get back into it by starting as if it were fresh.
Lately I have been experimenting in the FT
wsop sng
freerolls with stretches of devoted playing as Manic, or LAG. Knowing these would not be sucessfull long range stategies. I have learned a lot about many things by doing this. I treat these as exercises. What I think, and hope I am learning is how to control my execcution at all points of play. The goal being an internalized understanding of not only how I can play, but how others will generally react. As an added bonus, this usually helps me with my short stacked strategies.
Plus at times playing LAG and Maniac are just more fun........
Then I go back and sit through any hour of the Holecards Revealed vids and start back at the TAG/stopped phaze.
I used to think I was TAG, but, like Pete didn't really have much of the 'AG'.
I'm better now........
