^^^Billy would you agree?
Definitely. Often when the remaining stacks are small compared to the size of the pot (SPR is very low) we often should commit even if we miss the flop, especially against bad players. We do need to watch bloating pots beyond our target SPR because when we do miss and fold we'll lose more than we need to. Example if we can hit our target SPR of 4.5 with AK by calling rather than raising we often should NOT 3bet. Now if we miss and our opponent wants to commit we lose less. If we hit we can still be fairly confident of getting the remaining stacks in.
I also totally agree that I played the AK hand poorly all around and I probably should have found a more appropriate example.
