The only lowlight was my luggage was lost. But I got it the next day, and there's not really too much you need in Jamaica. Of course my wife laughed because she told me to throw some extra clothes in the carry on. She did and she was fine, so it was a shining, "I told you so" moment for her. :)

We went to the Luminous lagoon which was pretty awesome. Your body lights up everywhere you move. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0F--g3mbC4

Dunns river falls, going to Bob Marley's birthplace in nine mile (although the tour itself was pretty lame). Talking crazy philosophy with the locals. Lots of drinks and other things on the beach. :)

Lots of good times mon.

Sounds like you guys had a great time and I'm glad to hear the low lights were minor. My wife loves it when she gets to say she told me so. So I let her tell me everyday lol.

Ok, so is there anything that someone is struggling with specifically? I want to get re-focused here because our goal in this thread is to get everyone crushing where they are at and moving up. That's what we're going to be dedicated to.

On that note, I'm also going to pick someone at random to do a coaching sessions with this next week. I'm going to video the session and post it up here for everyone to learn from as well. I'm just going to pick someone that's been active in here and really wants to learn and move up.

The biggest issues for me are playing AJ KJ in early position. I have found that I'm being too aggressive with these hands for my own experience level and would say these would be a couple of my largest loosing hands so what I've done is really step down my aggression with these hands and depending on board texture play these hands quite passively. Not where I want to be but until I get a better handle on these hands it seems to have plugged a couple major leaks. BTW thanks guys for the suggestion on these hands.

Mentally I would say my impatience has been my biggest weakness but I think I have that conquered as well at least for the time being. My wife was in a car accident this weekend so I spend a lot of time at the hospital just waiting around so I played a hell of a lot of poker. Because I had no where to go my mentality changed and I began to think of myself as a lion in the grass waiting for an antelope to venture near. I picked my spots well and came away with each session being positive. My next sticky I'm going to add to my computer is "Be like the lion"

Thankfully my wife is okay with only some minor cuts and bruising but poker really helped to keep my mind off what was going on.

Fisi I can't believe villain called an all in with 35s. That just blows me away. I'd say that was a definite cooler. But I guess now you know how you can beat him next time. :)

I misread it. I thought villain had gone all in pre. Like you say tough to get away from that one.

Don't like the way you played it at all. You should bet flop and get it in if raised.

Yeah, don't know why I even posted it.. :) I didn't 4b pre, because he was 3 betting me and defending against my steals a lot, and I knew his range was pretty weak.

I really don't like the passive lines here. It's a wet board and you will get calls often against two opponents. Here it didn't really matter, but if you bet here, you could get calls from all sorts of hands like Q9, JT, tons of draws and maybe even some underpairs.

I knew I would get razzed for how I played this hand. What can I say I still like to be sneaky once in a while :)

However I would like to know how to play this hand with out being too aggressive. Typically I would bet 3bb pre, bet 2/3 the pot on the flop, bet 2/3 on the turn and shove the river. Obviously this hand is a looser anyway I play it but a large percentage of the time this line seems to push villain off the pot prior to the river so I feel like I may be loosing value by being so aggressive. Can you suggest a better quasi aggressive line that I may take in the future?

I posted this same hand in brags and beats and micromachine suggested to check the flop and c/raise the turn. What are your thoughts? Everyone I mean.

Thanks.

John I just wanted to feedback to you I've had a record month on the cash tables, just managing to clear over $500 mainly at 10nl.:) I managed to get in some decent volume (for me) which helps with 21,500 hands.
These results are mainly down to have been working with you and your material on this site and with Leakbuster. Thank You.
I also happily re-stumbled across bet365 poker on the Ipoker network which was and is full of fishy sports bettors having a go at poker with no clue what they are doing. Playing these types of players doesn't make your stats look great but when i'm winning at around 30bb/100 on that site I don't mind. Game selection and seeking out the fish has also helped massively, I just don't bother sitting at a table full of regs any more.
I have also been doing a fair bit on Pokerstars including playing a lot more 25nl. Another month or two of this and i'll be taking a shot at higher levels

Hey, congrats to you! You're playing well, and I can tell from how you're talking about hands that your knowledge and depth have grown quite a bit. So congrats on the work you've been putting in.

I'm not about to take any credit for your work, but I'm glad you're benefiting from the products. It will be fun to see how far you can take it. I've had a couple of micro to high stakes players in the past, but it's been a while since that's happened. Keep working at it though, and you'll move up through these stakes pretty quick. We want to get more people on here crushing like this, and knowing that it's possible to do with some work.

Much respect to you, and I'll continue to get caught up in this thread and go through some of your hands.

Yes, definitely. This is going to be a lot of fun, and we'll all learn a ton, including myself.

Anywhere you can plug this or the book also, like I said, PM with the link and you'll be entered into my coaching que. Just don't go spam crazy, that's all I ask. But some legit posts letting others know on other forums, very cool.

Any coach that still says that they have stuff to learn is a good coach in my opinion. I wish you the very best with it mate and hope you do well. Was looking at your 6-max stats and 24/17 is very good over those sample sizes

Without any reads on villains, bet bet bet is the best line. If you have any reads that they are aggressive c/raising could be better. However, given that it is a multiway pot, I think it is less likely that aggressive villains will try hard to steal the pot. Also this board is quite wet and hits villain's calling range pretty hard, so b/b/b is best here. :)

Thanks Fisi for the insight. Here's another hand that came up last night and I'm struggling with if I should have played this differently. Unfortunately my computer is down so I'm not able to use my HUD but last night was the first time against villain that I can recall and he seemed pretty solid. I do know he was multi-tabling and didn't seem like they were chasing flushes so I thought I was safe with my line.

Did I play this correctly?

When a villain that's solid raises you on that flop and then calls a reraise, I'm putting him on 2 pair + and flush/combo draws. It's a ugly turn, as everything beats us now. If it was a brick, you might consider shoving but here I don't think it's good.

Ya I should I have seen that especially since he called my re-raise. I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part.

That does lead me to another question this one about suited cards. During my illustriuos poker career spanning a whole 7 months I haven't really been one to chase flushes. How do you guys play them? Let's say Ace high or suited but non connecting by one or two 810 or 710 for instance.

That's pretty tough to answer. You can play A high flush draws very fast and get it in on most flops, since you will have around 45-50ish equity in most cases. Having normal flush draws, I would play them fast and aggressively OOP, trying to get some folds. IP it depends on the villain. If he is on the passive side, or you have great implied odds, I think calling flop and possibly bluffing/reevaluating on the turn if he slows down is good. If he is aggressive, playing back aggressively against their bets with a flush draw is good too I think.

Always learning my friend. Always....

There's always the, "those who coach, do so because they can't do." I'd like to think I'm more the, "I like to coach because it pushes me to learn more."... which it has. The best way to learn is to teach.

I do know he was multi-tabling and didn't seem like they were chasing flushes so I thought I was safe with my line.

Did I play this correctly?

If he seemed solid, then in a MW pot like this, with a small CR I'd tend to call or fold. Most players won't CR KQ or Kx, and usually draws will be CR larger in size. This is typically 2 pair + or a badly played Kx. And multi-way, more players tend to call with draws and top pair than CR, so I'd lean heavily towards 2 pair+ and perhaps call and use position and see how it plays out on the turn.
